Then;

"Hi," a random boy greeted me happily. I slowly turned around to see who said that to me as sipped on my juice box. A boy who was my size plopped down in front of me on the floor. He had short yellow hair and blue eyes. "I'm Joe," He said. His voice was weird. "What's your name?" He asked, still in that alien voice. It wasn't really his voice, but the way of him talking. Why was he talking like that?

"I'm Liana." I said nervously, biting the inside of my cheek. "Hey," I furrowed my eyebrows, "your voice is weird!" I pointed.

He giggled. "That's because I'm not from here."

I tilted my head. "What do you mean?" I asked. Then I gasped, suddenly scared. "Are you an alien? I don't have any cheese, I swear!"  I exclaimed putting my hands up.

He laughed even more, which made me smile. He covered his face with his small hands that were bigger than mine. "Nooooo," he whined in his strange voice. "I'm from Britain."

"What?"

"It's far far far away in this big area in Europe, in Wiltshire. That's why my family and I have this accent. Duh." He said, shifting on his butt.

"My grandpa is from Europe!" I said excitedly.

"Really? Where?"

I put my finger to my chin, tilting my head. My stomach started to rumble, meaning that I was hungry. "Hmm, I think it's called, 'Brussel Sprouts?' I don't know. I know it's in Belgium." I said, shrugging.

"Oh, cool!" He said, starting to sit cross cross applesauce, just like me. I grinned at him. "I have an older sister," he added. "Her name is Zoe. She goes here, too."

"What grade is she in?"

"Huh?"

"How old is she?"

"She's a year older than I am."

"Hey, do you want to be friends?" I asked randomly.

"Huh?"

"You say, 'Huh,' a lot."

"What?"

"Let's be friends!"

"Okay!"

The morning of their last week together ;

"I had fun last night, love." He smiled, kissing my neck softly. I smiled, hiding my face into my arms. I could feel the heat rushing to my cheeks, and I felt like an embarrassed lobster. I adjusted the glasses on my face.

"You're so cute, Liana." He said, pulling my back closer to his bare chest. I felt the cool metal of his necklace that I got him pressed against my back.

"Stop it." I mumbled as I turned around, facing him. He chuckled, running his hand through his hair. It was messy yet fluffy, and I had to resist the urge to touch it.
