My mom never tells me anything.
So apparently, Asa, Mason, Mara, the Suggs, Alfie, Caspar, Wallis, and Oli and I are going to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom today around 9:00. I didn't know this until after Joe, Caspar, and Mara left to go back to the hotel since my mom called me right after.
Now, Disney World was never a problem for Mason, Mara, Asa, and I since we all had annual passes to literally every theme park in Florida. Usually we would all just go, ride all the rides when the wait time wasn't ridiculously long, eat, stay for the fireworks show and go. Now, with a whole other group, it might be a little bit more complicated. Especially since they haven't been here for a while.
Everyone met and my apartment. It was slightly crowded, but not really. Zalfie and Jaspar were sitting on the couch, while Asa and Mara were at the kitchen table on their phones while Mason practiced his karate moves with his life saber. Wallis and Oli were talking at the kitchen.
I made sure that my Minnie Mouse ears were sat perfectly on my head, as I pulled down my shorts as much as I could. I hated wearing shorts, but I had no choice because it was literally hell Fahrenheit outside.
"You guys ready?" I asked as I pulled out my car keys from my bag. They all stood up, now paying attention and started walking towards me. "Everyone have their passes or tickets?" They all checked their pockets and nodded at me. "Who's riding with who?"
"Zalfie and Wallis and Oli with me, Jaspar and Asa and Mason with you." Mara said, pulling out her car keys. Zoe laughed.
"Fantastico." I said with my Spanish accent. I looked around to find Mason, but he was busy talking to Zoe and Joe. I smiled and turned back around, turning off the lights and opening the front door.
After everyone got out of the apartment, I shut the door and locked it. We all walked down three flights of stairs, mainly because my apartment was on the third and last floor.
"You excited?" I hear Caspar ask as we went to the sidewalk.
"Yeah, I haven't been to Disney World in a while." Joe replied.
"I've been here like one million times!" Mason said from behind me. I bent my head down and tried not to laugh.
"Mason, you're coming with me!" I call to him.
"Okay!" I heard skipping towards me.
"I call shot gun." Asa called. I look over at Joe and Caspar, who were giving each other the look that said, What the hell did she just say?
I ignored it and I unlocked my car and opened the front door, sliding in. Asa sat down next to me on the passenger side, Joe behind her and Caspar behind me. Mason was in the middle, now that I took out his car seat. I turned on the car, clicking my seat belt. I looked behind me as I shifted the car from park to reverse, making sure that there weren't any cars.
Once I backed out enough, I shifted to drive and speeded out of the apartment complex. I looked in the mirror and saw Caspar's eyes, which were basically bulging out of his head as he held on to the car door handle. "Liana, holy poo, you drive fast!" He stated as Joe laughed at him.
"Calm down, Caspar. I only speed so I can get the outta here." I said, breaking smoothly behind Mara's car. We were at a red light before we exited the complex, which was the most annoying stop light ever.
"You still drive like you used to. Very dangerous." Joe said, pulling his shorts more down to his knees.
"She never stopped." Asa said next to me, putting on some mascara while looking closely at the mirror.
The light turned green and I accelerated behind Mara's car, speeding onto the main road. I hear Asa yell/scream and I turn my head to her. I started to laugh, a mascara line all the way down her cheek. I hear Caspar and Joe laugh faintly behind me as Mara gave me a death glare.
"You could've gave me a warning!" She said, slapping my arm, laughing slightly.
"Ow." I whined, laughing as I turned onto the highway. "Well, sorry."
"Sorry," She mocked me, rolling her eyes and smiling lightly. She grabbed her tote bag and started digging through it, probably finding some makeup wipes. "By the way, Vince will be meeting us around lunch time."
"Fine by me."
"So, guys, what ride do you guys want to go on first?" She asked, wiping off the mascara line off.
"Peter Pan?" Caspar suggested. I rolled my eyes, of course.
"What?" He asked, seeing our annoyance.
"Peter Pan is the longest wait. It's like an hour and thirty minutes every time we go there." Asa said. "The wait for the line is ridiculous every time."
"Why?" Joe asked.
"We don't know!" Asa and I exclaimed at the same time. I sighed. It's pretty obvious that the both of us talked about this before. "It's not even worth the wait. The ride is literally less than two minutes and it's not even really good, to be honest."
"Yeah, and the ride is supposed to be continuous. The ride never stops when you try to get on." Mason said from behind. I checked my review mirror and saw that he was playing with his hands.
"What, are you guys like the Disney World experts?" Caspar asked, jokingly.
"You can call us that." I shrugged. "But really, pick anything else besides Peter Pan. Maybe we can ride it later. If the wait time is reasonable."
"Well, what other rides are there?"
"Um, let me see," I started, thinking about it. "Okay, so there's It's a Small World, The Seven Dwarfs. Thunder Mountains, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear, - that's a shooting game- uh-"
"What's that ride where you're in a hotel and you go up and down repeatedly?" Caspar interrupted.
"Tower of Terror? That's at a different park in Hollywood Studios." Asa stated, finishing her makeup and fixing her Minnie ears.
"Oh, good. I don't think I could ride that." Caspar said, putting his hand over his heart. "Anyways, I kinda want to ride Splash Mountain, that kinda sounds fun."
"You want to get wet on the first ride?" I asked, locking my eyes on the road.
"Why not?" Joe asked from behind me.
"You're right, it's freaking hot anyways." I said, turning on the AC. I was starting to sweat. "So, Splash Mountain first. Then maybe we can go to Thunder Mountain afterwards to dry off. They're kind of next to each other anyways." I said, turning on the radio.
"Smart girl, you are." Caspar said.
"I know, right." Joe agreed. I blushed and felt the familiar feeling roll in my stomach. I looked over at Asa, who was staring at the window. But from the view that I was in, I could see her cheekbones were high and the outer corner of her eyes were squinted. That meant that she was smiling.
