To get to the cabin, we had to drive up through the mountains. We spent an hour just driving through narrow roads and forest up in the mountains. Rob and I just took the time in the car to talk about everything that had been going on in our lives once again. Neither of us brought up what happened last night. Which I was kind of thankful for because it might have made things a bit awkward.

We found the cabin after driving for a total of an hour and a half. I could tell Rob was eager to get out of the car and stretch out. I mean, I don't blame him. It can't be overly comfortable to be in a car for that long when you are 6'6". Rob pulled up the the garage that was attached to the cabin and hopped out of the car real quick to type in the garage code. He then jumped back into the car and pulled it into the garage and shut the door behind us. We both got out of the car and I heard Rob let out a sigh of relief. I glanced over at him as his was stretching out a little bit more.

"So what all do we have to do while we are here?" I asked.

"Um...all I was told was to gather firewood and check to make sure everything is okay. But I'm not really sure what that means." Said Rob.

We both walk over to the stairs that I'm assuming lead into the house. Sure enough, when Rob unlocked the door, there was a large and beautiful cabin kitchen. I stepped inside and Rob shut the door after he came in behind me. I looked around the cabin and it was amazing. I began to walk towards the living room area when I spotted something on the counter. I walked over and picked up the piece of paper.

Rob,
This is the list of things that I need you to do for me while I'm gone.
1. Grab some of the already cut firewood into the house from the back shed.
2. Check the fridge and cabinets and throw out any food that is bad.
3. If it is snowing, check all the rooms in the house to make sure the windows are closed tightly.
4. Make sure that the pipes are being heated okay and do not freeze.
5. Take the sheets, curtains, and blankets from every room and throw them in the washer.
6. Dust and vacuum the cabin.

Thanks again man,
Mark

I showed the note to Rob.

"Well. Let's go get some of that firewood and bring it inside." Rob said.

We walked out the back door and towards the shed that was at the edge of the tree lines. There was already about 6 inches of snow on the ground and it was still coming down pretty hard. Rob had to shovel I bit of an opening so I could pull the shed door open. We went inside and grabbed some of the firewood sitting there. I grabbed four pieces and Rob grabbed ten.

"Show off." I mumbled.

"Did you say something Paisley?" Rob turned around curious and confused.

"No." I said sweet and innocently.

When we made it back inside we placed the firewood next to the fireplace. Next on the list was to sort through the food in the kitchen. So Rob went through all the cabinets and what was sitting on the counter and I went through the fridge. The only thing we had to throw away was some bread and yogurt. Next, we went through every room in the house making sure all the windows were shut as tight as possible. Before we left each room we would grab any blankets, sheets, or curtains in the room and throw them in a big pile outside in the hallway. Once we had checked windows and collected everything, I went into the laundry room and washed everything while Rob was vacuuming and dusting. While I was waiting for the sheets and everything to dry, I decide to check the pipes to make sure they hadn't frozen. And they hadn't. So we were good. After everything had dried I was making all the beds and hanging curtains back up when I looked out the window. There had to be 3 feet of snow outside. There was no way we could drive home. So I finished making the last bed and went to go find Rob.

"Hey Rob." I said. "I don't think we are going to be able to get back to your house tonight in this kind of weather."

"I was just going to talk to you about that. I turned on the radio and they said we are expecting even more snow. Not to mention that the roads are closed anyway."

"So does that mean we are just going to stay here until the roads open and we can get home?"

"That's what it looks like." Rob said. "I'm going to call mg dad and Glenn to tell them we are gonna be stuck here for a little while."

I'm not gonna lie. Im pretty excited to be stuck in a cabin, alone, with Rob.
