What Would I Do Without You? (A Rob Gronkowski Fanfic)

I had finally landed at the airport and was awaiting the lady who was going to be helping and guiding me through my two months. I had already gotten all of my bags and just wanted to get to the hotel.

Once I found her she took me to the hotel where I would be staying. It was actually a very nice hotel. She was staying in the room beside me so I could get her at anytime, but I still had space.

"We will be starting first thing in the morning." Anita, my aid said. "So get some sleep."

"Okay, sounds great. And thank you." I said while sliding the key card into the slot and opening the door. The room was amazing and has a beautiful view. I took a quick shower and put in a tank top and some shorts. Just as I thought about going to bed, I thought about Skyping Rob. It was 11:00 at night here meaning it was like 5:00 at night back home or something like that.

I pulled my Mac out of my backpack and plugged it in before Skyping Rob. It didn't surprise me at all when he answered right away.

"Hey Babe! How was your flight? Is it cool there?" He asked excitedly.

"It was long. And yes. It's absolutely beautiful here." I said.

We continued to talk for about another half an hour before I started yawning.

"You must me really tired after all the traveling. I'll let you get some sleep." He said. "I love you baby. Sleep well beautiful."

"I love you too Robert." I said blowing him a kiss.

He reached into the air pretending to grab the kiss and putting it to his heart. I smiled as I ended the call.

I went over to my bed and plugged my phone in beside me. I laid in bed and it only took me about 5 minutes to fall into a deep sleep.

When I woke up next morning I was more excited than ever! I quickly put on a sports bra, tank top, shorts, socks, and shoes. All Nike. I them brushed my hair, that was already pretty straight, and put it in a side braid. I brushed my teeth and went downstairs to the lobby which is where they had a breakfast buffet. As I was getting my food, I spotted Anita, and went over and sat with her.

"Well good morning Paisley." She said sweetly. "Did you sleep okay?"

"Good morning. And yes, I actually did. Thank you." I said.

We sat there talking about everything there was to talk about.

"I hope you are ready to get your hands dirty. Because we have a lot to do today." She said as we got up finishing our breakfast.

"I was born ready." I said laughing a little bit.

She took me outside and we drove to this large metal building, which is where I'm assuming or helicopter was kept.

I was right. We both hoped in the helicopter and headed off to the village where we would be working today.

The helicopter landed and we made our way to the village. I looked around and saw tons of brick laying around.

"Paisley, I would like you to meet someone." Anita said. "This is Kadir. He is the one in charge of all of the house building."

"Hi. It's nice to meet you Kadir. I'm Paisley." I said while shaking his hand.

"Hi Paisley. It's nice to meet you too." Kadir said. "Are you ready to get started?"

"Just tell me what to do." I said.

He motioned for me to follow him. He took me to where people were putting bricks together in the house.

"This is what you will be doing." He said. "They will hand you a brick with mortar on it and you just have to place it nearly on the house, making sure that it lines up."

"Okay. I think I can handle that." I said as he began walking away.

I did that for about five hours. It wasn't as boring as it sounds. The person that was handing me the bricks spoke a little bit of English so we talked a lot. Mainly, it was him telling me about Africa and the villages around here.

We had a short lunch break then got right back to work. This time I went with a different team to a different house so I could meet some more of the people. We worked for almost another three hours before we had to leave.

So I said goodbye to Kadir and the others that I had met and hopped back into the helicopter for the ride back to the hotel.

Once we got back I showered because I was filthy. But it was so worth it. Then I went back over to my Mac and Skyped Rob. This time Rob was with Adam so I got to talked to both of them about how my day went. They were all really proud and happy for me.

"Will you bring me home a souvenir?" Adam asked.

"Of course." I said laughing. "I'll bring you both back something. But I'm going to go to bed. It was a long day."

"Night Paisley!" Adam said running off.

"Goodnight Paisley. Love you and stay safe." Rob said.

"Love you too. And don't worry." I said before blowing him another kiss and shutting the Mac.

I was too tired to do anything else. So I jumped into bed and fell asleep.
