Pregnant?

Pregnant. My mother is pregnant. How did this even happen? She goes to see my father for a month and she gets pregnant. I'm not mad that she's pregnant. I'm mad because she's pregnant, but also has Breast Cancer.

"Is she going to be able to have a baby even though she has Cancer?" I asked Tracy.

"It is possible to have a baby. But a healthy baby is unlikely." Tracy stated. "I talked to your mother and she said that there was no way that she was going to get an abortion. Your mother is strong. I think she will be able to do it. You just have to help her make sure that this baby is healthy."

I sat back in the chair. Am I surprised my mom wouldn't get an abortion? No. I wouldn't either. I'm going to have to help her get through this. I am going to help her have this baby.

I picked up my mom and drove her home. We talked about it and it looks like we are on the same page. She's having the baby.

When I got home I decided to text Rob since he knew that I was taking her to the hospital.

Hey Rob!

Hey baby. How did
the hospital visit go?

My moms cancer is
doing fine. But there is
something else that
came up...

What!? What is it?
Is she okay?

She's fine Rob. But
she is pregnant...

Pregnant? Did that
happen when she
visited your dad?

Must have...anyway.
She is going to have
the baby.

I'm proud of her!
I've got to go to
practice. Talk about
this later?

I have no idea how I am going to get through these 9 months with a pregnant mother...
