Mira's p.o.v

I sat, thinking at the foot of my bed. I was pretty zoned out, and tended to enjoy it. Left me blank, and I liked that. Blinking, I snapped out of my self-induced trance and glanced at the clock next to my bed. 3:50PM showed, and I realized I was ten minutes past my meet time. Thinking back to a few anime shows, being late couldn't be that hard.

Exhaling, I stood and decided to test my luck. Tugging on my knee-high socks, I hopped to my wardrobe, tripping and catching myself on the handle. I slid it open and pulled on a hoodie, slipping on a pair of red flats. Figured it matched my red shirt and blue skirt. The grey hoodie was a stretch. Hopping over to the mirror, I gave myself a quick check, frowning at the length of my hair.

Brushing it quickly, I ran down the stairs, grabbing my phone off the counter and taking a piece of toast to top the look. Placing the corner of the toast in my mouth, I ran outside, closing the door on my way out and hurriedly stuffing my phone in my pocket. The park wasn't that far, I just planned on meeting up with a group at 3:40PM, obviously realizing too late.

Running as fast as I could, I began panting lightly, making sure to avoid any obstacles. My luck wasn't as keen as I wanted, seeing as I trip over everything. Upon turning a corner, I looked up from my feet to make sure I didn't bump into a wall. I bumped into a male, realizing too late that I couldn't slow down. A female gasp sounded as both of us fell, and my face turned a dark red. Glancing at the male, I gave a quick apology, ignoring his calls for me to stop.

My heart thudded loudly in my chest as I struggled to catch my breath as I slowed, seeing my mates not more than two feet away. Annabelle approached me, tugging the toast out of my mouth. "What's wrong, love? You seem rather shaken," she asked, rubbing my back. Panting, I held up a hand, fixing my posture and holding my sides. "I accidentally ran into a lovely lad. Sadly, I only managed a 'Sorry' before running away." And with that, we both returned to our group of friends to laugh.
