Jake's p.o.v

Mira looked so down today. Mike was more focused on Ailsa, though. It's like, each time Mira tried something, Ailsa would kill it. I won't say they are a bad couple, but I'm not saying they're the best. Taking my focus from the two, I dropped my gaze to Jess. "Speaking of the Lady Boy, what were you two talking about?" I asked, tilting my head in Mike's direction. She gave a small shrug, yawning.

"Nothing all too interesting. Their relationship could use some work. He seems to be head over heels for Ailsa but.. It's pretty obvious Mira deserves him. I mean, it's not my business, but.." Sighing, she leaned her head against my chest, and I couldn't help but hug her close. "God, she's so adorable.." Glancing at the two lovebirds, Ailsa still seemed to be toying with Mike's feelings.

She was flirting with one of Mira's friends, while the poor lad couldn't make moves on Mira. "Jess, mind talking to Ailsa for a bit?" I begged, glancing down at her. She met my gaze and nodded, kissing me quickly before leaving. Sighing, I joined Annabelle as she giggled over some nonsense I didn't care too much for. Mike seemed more relaxed now that Ailsa wasn't buzzing around.

I tried not to hover, but they were just too cute. Every five minutes, he'd pull her close after glancing around for Ailsa, mumbling a few things, and every few minutes I'd catch her clinging to him and letting him hold her. "It's obvious you and Mira are better for each other.." I thought, not daring to say it out loud. At least he could make her happy for the time being.

Walking over to Jess, I lightly pulled her away, sorta saving her. She didn't enjoy Ailsa's presence, and I can't say anyone really did. Accidentally, I caught Mira giving Mike a quick kiss, and if I didn't know any better, I'd say he was gonna return it. But I didn't keep watching, because I didn't want to witness it. I wouldn't say it's cheating, but..

Ailsa was all over Angus, one of Mike's mates. She'd frequently be caught whispering in his ear, or leaning against him. But poor Mike was too oblivious and always passed it off with an excuse. Poor lad, he is. I think Mira caught on pretty fast, and was trying to make moves. Little git has confidence. Tugging Jess close, I asked if she wanted to head over to Mike and Mira, maybe tease them a bit.

She shook her head and figured it'd be best to let the chips fall where they may. Shrugging, I left it alone and busied myself with occupying her lips with mine, finding her the cutest. Both of us heard a high squeal and glanced over at the source. Mike and Mira are just the cutest, and I swear, if he doesn't ditch Ailsa, I will for him.

Little nonce stuck up for me a lot of times, it'd be fair if I did the same. Ailsa was practically growling while Mira clung to Mike like a puppy. Just adorable. Taking Jessica's hand, I began leading us home, letting Mike have his freedom. He'd be with us in a bit. But for now, he had to do some thinking. Lady Boy has girls fawning for him, and I admit, I'm a bit proud.
