Jake's p.o.v
Jess suddenly grew quiet, listening for something. I paused and glanced around the room, searching for a bug she might have saw. Sighing, I ignored it and continued kissing her forehead. She pushed back and sat up. "Shhh! Listen.." she hissed. I paused, and heard slight sobbing. Glancing at her, I threw the cover off and went to check on Mike. Poor Lady Boy probably got hurt.
I peek at Jess before knocking, hearing a small hiccup. Glancing into the room, Ailsa has a tear stained face, cuddled under blankets and pillows. It amuses me that Jess turns away, chuckling a bit before rushing to her aid. "What's wrong, love?" she cooed, stroking Ailsa's hair. Small whimpers can be heard from Ailsa, and I could honestly care less.
"Love, where did Mike go?" I try. She only sobs harder, clutching Jess for support. The urge to grip Jess and glare at Ailsa is a bit hard to fight, but I manage. Combing my fingers through my hair, I suck in a small breath, grabbing my phone and jacket before heading out. Pathetic, I know, but I call out to Mike like a lost puppy. I hope the poor lad is okay.
After a bit of calling, I'm soaked and my hair is clinging to my face. I get a vibration in my pocket and fish out my phone, reading a text from Mira. Turns out he went to stay with her for a few days. Glad they started talking and all, but I hope they start off easy. If things go great, they could spend forever together.
Returning home, I slip off my shoes and take off my shirt, heading to the shower to warm my cold body. "Jess, love? Is Ailsa okay?" I call. A giggle sounds from our room and Jessica's honey voice chimed. "She left forever ago, dear." Nodding, I climb into the shower. "What if, maybe, Mira is some psycho who plays sweet and is hiding Mike away? Or like, what if she stole him from Ailsa out of jealousy? Oh geez.." I had to stop myself from thinking too far.
I could trust Mira with him, she wasn't all too bad. If I didn't have the angel in our room, I'd say she was a bit cute. A bit. I'm not all too fond of Mira. She's too shy for my taste. But, whatever Mike is fine with, I'm fine with. But if she hurts him, I don't know what I'd do. I just want the best for my mate. Sighing, I climb out the shower and dry off, wrapping the towel around my waist.
Jess lays fast asleep, and being the sod I am, I decide to take a few pictures before leaving her be. I decide to toss something comfortable on and fall asleep next to her. Maybe I'm giving her too much trust, but Mira better watch over Mike. He's one of my best mates and I'd rather keep it that way.
