Jake's p.o.v
It was nice for Mike to make Mira look all dishy. I'm glad the little twat is finally happy. Ailsa finally left our flat and occasionally he'd bring Mira over. They wouldn't even acknowledge the fact that I sat next to or across from then. She'd just sit in his lap and they'd whisper. They've grown closer than Jess and I, in some ways. He wasn't shagging like I was, though.
Speaking of shagging, Jess and I had just finished getting dressed. I figured I'd take her out on a date. Not that I haven't enjoyed the two and their presence, but we did need a break. Mira seemed to have a little crush on me, but I think it buzzed out. She's more drunk on Mike's love than she is on candy. I'm more committed to Jess anyway.
Taking her hand, I led her downstairs, admiring the dress she wore. It fit her and her curves better than expected. Her angel wings were beating brighter tonight than ever before. We crossed the street to enter our favorite restaurant. Cafe Loren was a nice restaurant. I pulled out her chair, letting her sit before pushing it in and retreating to mine.
I couldn't help but let my eyes wonder to hers. Her blonde bangs pinned a bit and her hair curled. She wore a red silk dress, a blue bracelet on her wrist. It shocks me even now to wake up with her by my side sometimes. Going American, I chose steak and a bit of tea, while she ordered salad and tea. Spare you the boring details, we just talked and ate in silence sometimes.
My phone buzzed ten minutes later while we were walking home. I answered it to see a poorly typed out message. I didn't quite get it, but I knew it was Mike. Sighing, I ignored it. We reached the flat not long after, and I leaned in, deeply pressing my lips to hers. We stumbled into the flat, only to be beaten by Mike and Mira. The two sods kiss everywhere, I swear.
Jess pulled away and headed to our room, and I glanced down at Mike. Slowly creeping behind him and his girlfriend, I popped up between them. They didn't notice me much, so I shouted. It was funny until Mira screamed and slapped me, gasping after realizing who I was. It was obvious Mike didn't care much by the way he held her securely around the waist.
Hands still covering her pout, Mira continued to apologize, ignoring when Mike and I told her it was fine. He whispered something in her ear which made her smile and kiss him lightly. If I stayed around them one more minute, I might have gone barmy! Rubbing my cheek, I joined Jess in the room, figuring she was changed into something more cracking as always.
