Mira's p.o.v
Mike just completes me. I admit it, it's like he puts me in a trance. He's so hypnotic, and it drives me mad. But, I can't do anything about it, because every five seconds, he's be drooling over Ailsa. She doesn't even deserve him, and putting up acts around her sucks. I don't like her. She's just not.. right! Sighing, I leaned against Mike for the thousandth time that night. Ailsa was a good five feet away, and I'd take advantage. Help speed things up and such.
Leaning up, I gave Mike a quick kiss, glancing over at Ailsa and making sure she paid close attention. Her face gave it all away, watching as Mike's hands twitched towards my hips. Of course, he had more control than I planned, and pushed away, taking Ailsa's hand and leaving. Maybe I pushed my luck. I never have been good with this sort of stuff.
Feeling like a total twit, I took a seat on the swing, staring down at my lap. I used my feet to move me, not really swinging, just swaying. If I looked up, I'd see Mike growing smaller as he walked away, and I didn't want that at all. Tears pooled my eyes and I bit at my lip to hide them. Annabelle hopped over, dropping her smile as she took in my mood.
"What's wrong, Bunny?" she asked, taking my face in her hands. I shook my head, quickly wiping my eyes and smiling. "Nothing, Skittle. Just had dust blow into my eyes. Windy night and all," I sighed, trying to sound casual. She sat on the swing next to me and begin kicking her legs, swinging slowly. "So, what was that with you and Mikey?" she asked, knowing the sound of his name made my heart flutter. "What about it?" was all I said.
She rolled her eyes, bringing her swings to an abrupt stop. "I saw what you did, you saucy git. You kissed him! And Ailsa saw the whole thing!" she exclaimed, drawing attention from Angus and Archie. I shrug, shaking my head and dropping my face in my hands, "I thought he'd finally come to his senses. But he ran away with her and didn't even kiss back! I don't know what he sees in the minger!" I groaned.
Annabelle laughed, pitying my American temper. I don't know why I insisted on coming to Britain. Annabelle hopped over and cooed in her velvety voice. "Love, I'm sorry you feel that way. I don't really enjoy her either, and it's obvious she isn't all that loyal to Mike. But, let him take his time, okay?" I nodded, having hope that he'd come around. I don't see why I don't interest him. Is it because I'm not British? Maybe he isn't into Americans.
Shrugging, I nodded and leaned against her, sighing. Britain wasn't all that bad. I met people like Anni, so that was great. "Want candy?" she asked, causing me to nod happily and take her hand. Angus decided to stay with the rest of the lot, and Annabelle and I hopped off, going to the store. Of course, I couldn't hop as long as she could. She's so adorable, like a little sister, and it's obvious Angus does fancy her.
