Mike's p.o.v

I think I killed her.. I did it! I didn't mean to, I swear! I asked if she'd be mine, and she just collapsed! Jake got to her quicker than I could and she was right next to me. The little bellend has her cradled in his lap, waiting for her to come to. Maybe she isn't into me and only kissed me under.. I don't know. Maybe she was needy? Like.. for it? I don't know, I can be quite daft!

He rocked her back and forth as if she were the Queen's daughter. God, I wish I had confidence around birds like he does. The sod had her clutched closer than I did, and it made me just a wee bit jealous. Sighing, I decided to take her in my hands. "Hey, Jake. Thanks, but can you hand her over for a bit? I think Jess texted," I mumbled.

He nodded and handed her to me, forcing me to hold her bridal style. I heard a low groan and looked down at her, seeing that she was awakening. I mean, I was glad, but she was in my arms and I didn't want her to scream. It'd suck if I dropped her. She took in the situation and blushed, hiding her face in my shoulder. Laughing, I sat on the couch, holding her against me in my lap.

"So, will you?" I asked, hoping she remembered. She stared into my eyes, obviously melting for a bit before closing the space between us, nodding against my lips. Being Jake, he had to interrupt. "Hey, Mike! Guess Jess didn't text after all! Funny story lad!" I ignored him and leaned closer while she tried pulling away, not wanting to let my gold melt away.

Jake whistled and sat perched on the arm of the sofa we were on. It surprised me that when I tried to pull away to shove him off, she wouldn't let me, clinging to me tightly. One of her arms wound around my neck as her other hand stayed gripping my shirt. Jake chuckled and pulled her away, causing her face to brighten immensely.

The saucy git was just the cutest, maybe even cuter than Jess. Of course, I had no attractions to her. I said the same thing about Mira, but I really don't for Jess. Glancing at Jake, he had the most cheeky smile I've ever seen, and I realized something. Today was a day she never really witnessed in Britain. I'd make it the best. Taking her hand, I shoved Jake off the sofa, lifting Mira and carrying her to her room.

Being the gent that I am, I bowed, closing the door and whispering. "Get dressed in something gorgeous, love. I want your outfit to match your beauty!" I heard a small squeal and laughed, helping Jake up off the floor. After a small chat and some tea, she came out in a red-ish dress, brown flats on her feet. Her dark brown hair pulled into a ponytail. God, she looked like an actual angel!

Taking her hand, I gave Jake a small wink, tugging her through town. She wasn't quite familiar with it, so I'd take advantage. By the time we finished, we ended up at  the park. It was 6:00PM and I made sure this was perfect. Kissing her lightly, I had her mates, mine, Jake's, and Jessica's mates jump out, shouting a loud, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Fireworks began bursting from around town and it just made things PERFECT

I honestly think, this would be something perfect to look back on. To laugh and tell our kids for bedtime stories. These moments could be things that make up a small adventure in life. God, I'd do anything for her. I loved the little twat.
