Jake's p.o.v
The warmth of Jessica in my arms felt pretty great. It was like holding an angel. There was nothing more I would rather have than these moments with Jess. She was like.. My personal angel. I love her like nothing else. We haven't been together long, but I cherish every minute I can have with her. Leaning down, I planted another kiss on the top of her head, smiling at a golden strand waving freely.
Tucking it securely behind her ear, I gently tapped her cheek. "Hungry, love?" I asked, curious of if she needed anything. She shook her head, mumbling. "Not at all, are you?" Shaking my head, she nodded and cuddled against me. Of course, the moment had to come to an end eventually. Sighing, I moved one of my hands from around her waist and to my phone. The time was 4:30PM. We had to meet Mike and some girl.
Sighing, I dropped my phone carelessly on the pillow, giving Jess a nudge. "Hey, babe? It's time. We have to get up, love." She gave a small groan and nodded, sitting up and moving from my lap. After a few minutes, Jessica grabbed her jacket and tugged it on, taking my hand. We locked the door behind ourselves and she intertwined fingers with me. "What a saucy git you are.." I thought, chuckling. She ignored it as we headed to the park. The rest of the walk was in silence. What a shame, seeing as I love her voice.
After a bit of walking, we reach the park, seeing Mike. A girl hid behind him and clung to his sleeve. Poor lad. "Hey, Mike! Who's your lady friend?" I asked, adding emphasis on 'lady friend.' He glanced around, eyes sweeping her face before shrugging. "Her name's Mira. We sorta bumped into each other and I had to return her phone. Now we're just hanging," he said, trying to sound casual. Knowing Mike, this was probably an awkward day for him.
"Hey, Mike, Jess wants to talk," I called, wincing as she shot me a curious glance. He nodded and took her away from me, walking off with her. Gosh it hurt to watch, but I'm fine. Walking over to Mira, I gave a small wave. "How ya doin' love?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood. She hid her face, avoiding eye contact and shrugging. "Fine, thanks.." was all she managed to say. Poor Mike. A girl a bit taller than Mira hopped over, sticking out a hand.
"Hiya! My name's Annabelle! What's your name?" she smiled, hopping a bit. Glancing at her hand warily, I shook it lightly, blinking at how quickly she shook mine. "Ah, I'm Jake. Over with the lady boy is Jessica," I said, smiling as she gave a small laugh. Jess shot a glance at me, and I blinked. "Guess things aren't so bad. Mike gets to hang with cute birds." I thought.
Annabelle hopped over to Jess, and Mike came over to my aid. Mira seemed to brighten up and cling to his sleeve again. Cute lot, they are. Her gaze dropped as she noticed I was looking at her. Mike and I shared a chuckle and I figured I'd have a bit of fun. "So, mind hanging out with Jess and I?" I asked, winking at her. Mike scoffed and gripped her hand, causing her to blush. Maybe things were deeper with them than I thought.
