Mike's p.o.v

Mira was so clingy. Not that I'm complaining, I actually like it. But something has been bothering her for a while now, and it has started to upset me. She'd insist on going wherever I went, cling when I'd be too tired to pay attention, and always be too wary. I didn't like it when she worries. It makes me worry.

Today was one of those Let's-follow-Mike days. I just wanted to have a bit of time at the park. She wanted to tag alone, and I didn't mind. She sat in my lap after I took a seat on one of the swings. After a bit of silence, she glanced up at me, poking my cheeks. "Mikey, can I tell you something?" she mumbled, tracing circles on the back of my hand with her pinkie. I gave a small nod and she told me about a dream.

I found it charming how I smelled delicious, but my smirk fell once she explained the part with another female. Let alone a blonde. Sighing, I cupped her face with my hands, placing a gentle kiss on her lips before staring sternly into her eyes. It was hard to look so serious when she just looked so adorable.

"I'll always love you, okay? I can't ever leave you, and I won't," I mumbled. She glanced at her hands, resting them in her lap and nodding. I was going to say something, but she pulled her phone and earphones out of her hoodie pocket, placing them in her ears. After choosing something to listen to, she rested her head on my chest.

My hand reflexively rested on the back of her head, causing me to smile. Looking back on our past, things have been okay, almost perfect. Thanks to her dropping her phone that day, we've gotten closer and she's become my princess. That sounds gay, but it's true. I felt her breathing gradually get slower, which made me look down.

It took, maybe five minutes, for me to realize she'd fallen asleep. Her quiet snores gave it away. Tucking her phone back in her pocket, I left the earphones in, gently taking her in my arms bridal style. "Never too late to practice.." I thought, laughing at myself after. Mira being my bride was like one of those fantasies with vampires and humans falling in love.

I began walking home, and things were fine. She's a deep sleeper, so nothing would wake her, sadly. I loved the looks people threw my way. From someone else's point of view, she'd probably look unconscious as if I were about to attack her somewhere. Laughing at the idea, we went to the flat Jake and I share.

Jake was all too loud when we entered, and it was sorta annoying. "What's with your cheeky girlfriend? She looks sorta dead. She okay?" he asked. It was like one question after the other. I grew bored and didn't bother answering anything. I carried her to my room and sat her on my bed, leaving the room once I made her comfortable.

Upon cracking the door, there were small whimpers on the other side. It got a smile out of me as I opened the door. She sat up, staring at me through the crack, arms reaching out. I rolled my eyes and opened the door, taking my place at her side. A happy squeal escaped her throat as I held her close, letting her cuddle into me. I plugged one of her earphones in my ear and the other in hers. Closing our eyes, we let the music lull us to sleep.
