Interruption

Jake's p.o.v

This was the third day Mike hasn't been home. Maybe he's waiting a week or so to come home. I mean, not that I complain, he left Jess and and I plenty of alone time. I think it's great. Just starting to miss the twit. Maybe they hit it off pretty well. I owe the wanker some credit. Jess and I are doing fine. Nothing too far. I swear, some day I'm gonna make her mine. She's gonna look so beautiful down that alter. 

I gently tugged her off of me, resting her head on a pillow. Sliding out of bed, I grabbed my phone, walking downstairs and tugging on my pants, It was very hard and took all my focus not to fall. Tripping on the last step, I tumbled into a nearby wall, cursing as I heard Jess groan a bit. I quickly tugged on my pants, ignoring the zipper. 

I scrolled through a few contacts, finding Mike's and giving it a ring. His phone went directly to voicemail, which was odd. He never missed one of my calls. Maybe Mira was some sorta psycho. Maybe it was up to me to save him from this crazy b-.. Okay maybe she might not be.. But hell, I don't know. I hardly talk to her.

Writing a quick note and sending a message to Jess, I yanked on a shirt, leaving my hair disheveled. If it were Mike, he'd save me too. I jogged over to Mira's as quick as I could. It was obvious they were yelling. I managed to make out a few words and piece it together. "Mike and Mira were arguing over something that happened earlier, I could make out that much. She seemed to be shy, or scared, by the way her voice kept shaking and cracking.. Then things got quiet." 

I took it that she was about to murder my best mate. Murder him! Blimey, Mike.. Inhaling deeply, I gently tried the handle, finding it unlocked. Without much trouble, I threw the door open, dropping my eyes on the view. Mike really did make it far. I'm pretty proud. The Brit was crawled onto the poor twit, lips locked and hands twined into her hair. I'm proud.
