The First Time I Stayed Over
(song of the chapter: It's You // Griffin Peterson)"I'm just a little giddy, I don't know what to expect from this." I tell Elena through the mouthpiece of my phone.
"Erin, it's just Austin you guys have been together for a while now. You even said it yourself, you're ready for this. Now, I don't want to discuss your relationship with my brother anymore. Open the door and go inside, stop standing out there like a creep." Elena encourages just before she disconnects our call.
My eyes take in the surroundings of Austin's apartment and I nod to myself. Finally I knock three times on the door. Austin has the door open to me in no time, and I'm already feeling dizzy because his shirt is nowhere to be found and a bead of water is trailing down his neck from his damp hair.
"Hey baby." He smiles, pulling me in for a gentle kiss.
"Hey, just shower?" I ask.
He nods, grabbing ahold of my waist and tugging me into the apartment so he can close the door behind me. Austin is eyeing the bag I'm carrying on my shoulder.
"Overnight bag." I explain.
"I got that, it's just smaller than I expected."
I cock my head to the side. "I'm only staying one night, why would I need a bigger bag?"
"I don't know, girls usually just pack a lot." He grins and I roll my eyes.
I'm trying my hardest not to gape at his bare chest but he's everywhere and his shirt is nowhere and I'm about to lose it. Breaking me from my trance, Austin speaks. "I made dinner."
A warm aroma that I'd hardly noticed when I first came in, is finally registering in my nose. "Smells amazing."
"Come," Austin insists, guiding me to the kitchen. A pot of fettuccini alfredo is simmering on his stove and my mouth waters slightly."I'll make you a plate, then we can eat in the lounge." Austin tells me. I nod and make my way to his living room and set up his t.v. trays so that way we have something to eat on. Austin makes his way in at some point and places the plates down on our stands.
"Bon a petit." He grins and I smile. "Thank you for dinner, could you put a shirt on." I gush. Austin chuckles but looks slightly thrown off by my absurd request. "I-I can hardly focus." I tell him, gesturing to his bare chest.
The widest grin takes over Austin's face and he flexes his pecs obnoxiously. "Can you focus now?" He teases and I hide my face in the pillow until he disappears down the hall and into his room, to return with a shirt on. "You want me to put on a movie?"
"Yeah." I murmur. I finally take ahold of my fork and begin twirling noodles onto it. Sliding the food into my mouth, an involuntary moan comes from my mouth.
Austin turns to look at me with an eyebrow raised. "Good?" He asks. I nod and moan again, since I can't speak with all of this food in my mouth.
He presses play on the remote and a movie I've never seen before starts to play. Austin takes his place on the couch beside me and we eat together as we watch this movie he's picked out.
During the movie I stand and Austin grabs ahold of my hand. "Where you going?" He asks.
"Dishes." I respond, pointing to our dirty dinner plates. He hands me his and I take them to the kitchen and start washing them. Fifteen minutes or so goes by and I've finished cleaning his kitchen so I return to the living room. Moving the t.v. trays out of the way I lay down across the couch, resting my head in Austin's lap.
