The Time I Got Austin Drunk
(song of the chapter: Underneath It All // No Doubt)
Austin's birthday is in two days and our friends thought it'd be nice to take him out this weekend. He and all of his friends are sitting in a circular booth in a darker corner of the club. Each and every time I climb out of the booth to go dance, I can feel his gaze piercing through me on the dance floor.
"Come dance with me?" I haughtily whispered in his ear earlier, but he'd declined. When I trailed out to the dance floor I exaggeratedly swayed my hips, knowing good and well that he was watching.
"Why won't he dance with you?" Courtney had asked me. I shrugged and told her he needed to loosen up. With those words came an ingenious idea. After making a short pit stop at the bar, I went back to the booth that Austin and his friends were seated around.
Climbing onto his lap, I hand him the drink I'd gotten him from the bar. "Here baby."
Hesitantly he took the drink from my hand, bringing it up to his lips. "It's good, what it is?" He asked, handing it back to me. I shook my head. "It's a screwdriver and its for you." I told him.
Clearly he wasn't lying when he told me he liked the drink, since then I've brought him six more and he's downed them. Contrary to his prior resistance to come dance with me, he's willingly gone out on the dance floor with me on several occasions tonight. Thoughtless words seem to be rolling off of his tongue anytime someone speaks to him, and I'm having an amusing time trying to keep him from taking my clothes off. Which brings us to now.
I'm sitting on Austin's lap, trying to have a conversation with our friends but Austin has other things on his mind. Beneath the table his hands are squeezing my hips then running down my thighs and fiddling with the hem of my skirt. Nonchalantly, I flick away his cheeky hands and try to keep my train of thought.
"Austin, what are you doing for your birthday, man?" Clayton asks from across the booth.
Austin leans around me, adjusting me on his lap and drunkenly grins at his best friend. "Hopefully Erin."
Everyone at our booth bursts into laughter and my cheeks flame red. Embarrassed, I swat Austin playfully. "Just for that you aren't getting any."
Everyone's laughter grows louder at my sassy remark and Austin buries his face in my hair. His deep chuckles hit the back of my neck and I press the pads of my fingers into Austin's wrist to stop his hand from getting any further up my skirt. "Let's go." He purrs quietly in my ear for only me to hear.
My head nods in agreement and I announce to everyone that I need to take Austin's drunk ass home. We climb out of the booth and wish everyone a good night. As we're exiting the club Austin's hand swats my ass and I jump a little in my heels.
The air outside is just the tiniest bit chilly and we speed up our pace to the car. Austin's hand wraps around mine and it takes me a second to realize he's reaching for the keys and not trying to hold my hand.
A laugh pops out from my mouth and I shove his arm away softly. "Asshole."
He laughs loudly and the sound resonates around the parking lot. "Gimmethekeys." He slurs.
Fiercely, I shake my head, denying him. "No baby, you've been drinking. Let me drive for once." I seductively reply, shooting him a wink as I walk around to the drivers side.
Austin's eyes grow wide and he follows me around to my side of the car. His strong hands push me forcefully against the car, but not hard enough to hurt me. Those blue orbs are gazing down at me in a way that's making my body want to melt even though I have goosebumps from the cool breeze. Or maybe those are from Austin too, it's hard to tell.
