At the exact same moment Queen Victoria's airship exploded over the Thames, in the far northern reaches of the realm, atop a peak of hills known as Arthur's Seat, the ground gave a shift, causing a tall cairn to topple over.  Sensing a strange energy in the air, villagers went quickly about their business.  A strange wind stirred in the air and then blew south, taking with it no small amount of magic.

Down the roads, across the peaks and valleys -- blustering across the moors, until it reached a specific bridge, containing a distinct object, unused all these centuries.
