My first impression of Buckingham Palace, my now and future home, was of the carpet. While perhaps at its origination it was a thing of beauty -- once a vibrant scarlet was now more of a muted cranberry color, with gold bits as an afterthought.

I knew their Highnessess had been in the process of upgrading many of the water and sanitary features in the Palace, but obviously had not yet touched upon the entry carpet.

My staff at Meadowlark kept an immaculate house and before I could respond to the first introduction, I let forth a rather large sneeze.

AN: Based on recent reading regarding Victoria and Albert - Buckingham Palace was in desperate need of an overhaul at the beginning of their reign.
