AN: Briscoe's POV
The walk had been a long one, full of difficult terrain and rough roads -- leading through tiny hamlets and large towns. Along the way, he began to develop a personality that would suit him. He chose his wardrobe carefully and found it curious to believe that he could hide so easily in plain sight. After all, a magician was a magician. Sent forward by the High Wizard, he did not question his assignment. He was adept, but did not have the gift of prophecy.
