9- Herbivore Hazard

A few days later my Tyrannosaurus Rex hatched and the scientists confirmed my suspicions. The Trex was male. The lesser and much weaker version of Tyrannosaurus. Why would he only give me the weaker version? Still have no idea where he gets them.
Ever since he saw the creatures I had that he didn't give me Hoskins has been watching my park. Once a week I see him walk around the entire park checking all the cages.
I've been working with an organization called The Grant Paleontological Society to organize some deals with Paleontologists. They'll supply me with the bones of dinosaurs while I pay for their excavations. I'm going to use Doctor Wu's methods for extracting dinosaur DNA out of fossils. Through a lot of complicated work we can get tiny bits of DNA out of fossilized bones.
Though little at a time we're making progress. I also built a secret area into the science lab that even Hoskins doesn't know about. I can hide buildings too you bastard.
Throughout the past month we spent as much time secretly working on a female Tyrannosaurus rex as possible. I really want one and now Hoskins cannot find out. I don't want to see what happens if he finds this. He's a trained war veteran and I'm a scrawny normal dude, he's become a lot more dangerous and cryptic over these past few weeks.
The day finally came when he sent me a message via the phone
Hoskins- I've got something new to show you at the arena, a special event as well as something else.
Manager- On my way
I rang up Owen and he was at the hotel in less than 10 minuets.
"I was coming to see you anyway" he says "I've got something to report. Hoskins has been making frequent trips to his secret building the past 2 days"
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
"I was waiting to make sure it wasn't just a one time thing. He's went there 15 times and wasn't ever there for long"
"So we should be careful?"
"Yes, we don't know what he's doing"
I hop on and he races towards the arena.
As we arrive I notice his green chopper on the roof ready to take off, but sitting on the helipad.
Hoskins walked down the stairs to meet us.
"Alright first things first, I've created these sort of events. What I do is either force you to use certain creatures or I choose certain creatures. Every time you win you get an embryo, but only if you win all the preset fights."
"Alright, what's the other thing" I ask
"You'll have to join me on my chopper to find out"
He finishes and then walks away.
I whisper to Owen "Let's bring the guns just in case things go south"
He gives a subtle sign showing that he heard. We pick up our rifles and walk up to the helipad.
When Hoskins sees that we have brought our weapons he asks us "What's with the guns gentlemen?"
I quickly come up with a good excuse. Pointing to his armed gunmen on the helicopter I say very seriously "If they bring guns, we bring guns"
"Fair enough" he says
We board the chopper.
Minuets later we fly over the old visitor center from Jurassic Park.
"No..." I say in a shocked voice
Owen looks over "Are you kidding me?"
We spot a renovated version of the old visitor center with 6 roof doors to fit dinosaur cages.
Lights, trucks, and workers not in Jurassic World uniforms are everywhere.
"That is my event arena" says Hoskins
"What's the event? Why do we need to do it here?" I ask
"To ensure you battle on my terms"
"They'll be fair... RIGHT HOSKINS?!"
"Yes, you'll always have a chance of winning"
The helicopter lands and we exit.
"The event is called Herbivore Hazard. Basically you can only use herbivores." Hoskins finishes.
"Alright, what's the first fight?"
"All pterosaurs"
"Starting off easy? Or is it always like this?"
"You'll find out if you play" he says in an ominous voice.

The last pterosaur falls and the diplodocus let's out it's victory roar.
"Alright Hoskins what's next? That only took one herbivore"
"3 amphibians"
"Hmmm... so I don't have any advantages?"
"Nope"
I call in a chopper transport for my stegosaurus. I still had my Mega Trike and my phase 3 Argentinasaurus so I was in good shape. The dark green chopper arrives in about 10 minuets and it deposits my stegosaurus.
"I've already seen this guy, but I know I didn't give you it. Another from your secret provider?" Hoskins asks over the intercom
"What's it to you? Why does it matter what dinosaurs I have and where I get them?"
"Just curious" he says while pushing the button to release his Koolasuchus. I release Mega Trike.
Let the battle begin.

Argentinasaurus stomps on the head of the Diplocalus dealing the final blow. Mega Trike is airlifted out of the arena covered in bites from the Metriorhynchus.
I call for a vet and the transport of my parasaurolophus. The vet fixes up the Argentina and Hoskins comes over to meet me.
"You won't be able to win this one" he says with a smirk "it's your old friend the Trex still at phase 3"
The middle door opens to show a phase 3 Trex with a scar on it's leg from where the Prionosuchus death rolled it.
"You've got it be kidding me" I say with a terrified and shocked expression
The other wounds had healed just fine, but when the Rex looked up through the glass at me it got instantly more angry. It recognized me.
"How does that thing remember me" I ask Hoskins
"Rex's have large brains. They mostly use their memories to be more successful at hunting, but in this case it just remembers you being the one who released those creatures on him."
"Well that's just fantastic" sarcasm heavy in my voice "well I guess it's now or never"
I walk to the controls. I press all three buttons at once.
I look over to see Hoskins' expression change to curiosity.
"No one's ever tried that before" he says
"What do you mean? Aren't I the only one who battles dinosaurs?"
He stops and gets really nervous looking.
"Yeah, sorry wrong phrasing"
The Para, Stego, and Argentina all walk out to face the Rex. It roars shaking the whole building and charges.
Stego charges foward and spinning around she hits the Trex in the face with her spiked tail. The Rex merely staggers and then lunges. An unexpected tail whip lashes across its face from the Argentina. Rage and adrenaline now very visibly have taken over the Rex. It runs roaring at the Argentina and bites it's neck. One bite and it's down. Para charges and rams the side of the Rex with a head. Rex staggers and then rams the head of the para. The force of the impact knockes out para. Stego is on the other end of the arena tail swinging in the Rex's direction.
The Rex slowly walks back and forth trying to find a weak spot to attack. He lunges out of now where and takes a face full of spikes. Stego then steps forward while swinging wildly. She backs the Rex into a corner.
*thud* *slice* *bam*
The tail and spikes hit the Rex over and over again as it's unable to do anything. The Rex falls.
I look over at Hoskins and see him taking notes.
"Congratulations kid, here you go" he says while one of the gunmen from the ship hands me the briefcase.
The animals who need medical attention are taken back to the park. It was over.
