Jessie's POV
As I listened to Samantha's story on how she came up with the nickname 'Nerd Straps' for Lou I couldn't help but stare at her. She looked so beautiful. Even though she was talking in hilarious accents and I was laughing away. She was just so... different from all the others. Not that I dated a lot, but the ones that wanted to date me were all the same. She had finished her story and I hadn't even noticed, plus I was still staring at her. "What?" she asked kintting her eye brows together all cute like. "Nothing" I said snapping out of my trance and starting the car. She giggled and looked at the time. "Oh! It's 8:30. I need to get home so I can change." she said to me in a sweet voice. "Okay no prob! We'll be there in like 20 minutes." I replied sad that our date was coming to an end. "Or we can just skip going to your house and go straight to the party together." I suggested trying to make my time with her last a little bit longer. She scoffed "Or we can go to my house so I can change, because I can't dance in heels like I want to. And it would be terrible if I sprained an ankle or anything." she said in a sweet persuasive voice. "Yeah it would be bad if that happened. And I wouldn't want on my brain that I was the cause of such a beautiful girl like you spraining anything." I said. She just rolled her eyes and smiled.
It was silence for a couple of moments and then I asked "Do you want me to turn on music?". "No this is fine. I like it it's... quiet." she said not taking her eyes from the window. She was just staring outside looking up at the sky. Then I noticed she was mouthing some words. They were song lyrics. Then she started to hum along to the song that was playing in her head. It sounded beautiful so I sung along. "And I just want to wrap you up, wanna kiss your lips, I... wanna make you feel wanted. And I wanna call you mine, wanna hold your hand forever and never let you forget it baby I wanna make you feel wanted.". She faced me eyes wide. "Was I just humming?" she said in a scared voice. I nodded. "Fuck." I heard her mumble under her breath. "You sounded good." I said after a while. "Hm..." she said still looking out the window. When pulled up at her house I opened the door for her and she got out. "Well, I hate to say this but I had a good time Jessie." she said and then let out a sigh. "You know what I'm tired of saying your name. I'm just gonna call you 'Curli' cause of those massive curls you have in your hair." she said examining my hair. I ran my fingers through my curly quiff of hair. She was right I did have a massive curls there and tiny curls everywhere else. I laughed. "I had a good time too. And I guess I can get used to that nickname.". "Get used to it? Ha! I was gonna call you that whether you liked it or not." she said crossing her arms. "Okay." I said with a laugh. "Since you gave me a nickname it's only fair if you let me give you one too." I stated. "Ugh! Fine, but it better be a good one." she said narrowing her eyes at me. "Hmmm.... How about Kitten!?" I said. "Hmmm... how about NO!" she retorted. "Ha! You have no choice I'm gonna call you that whether you like it or not." I replied crossing my arms and a smirk in my face knowing I had her pinned. "Fine! Call me Kitten! As long as you let me call you Curli." she said with a pout. I wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her close. She was a lot taller in her red heels. She now came up to my eyes. "Deal" I said quietly and leaned in for a kiss. She turned her head a gave me a hug instead. "I'm not that kind of girl Curli." she whispered in my ear. Fair enough at least she gave me a hug and didn't hit me when I wrapped my arms around her waist. She pulled away and waved goodbye saying that she would see me at the party.
Sam's POV
Jessie grabbed my waist and pulled me close. He smelled amazing. I bit my bottom lip not knowing what else to do. "Deal." he said his voice just barley above a whisper. Then he leaned in for a kiss. Fuck! I wanted to kiss him, but I'm not the type of girl who would kiss on a first date no matter how much i like you. So I did the only thing I could think of I gave him a hug. "I'm not that kind of girl Curli." I whispered in his ear. When we pulled away he gave me a smile and said "So I guess I'll see you at the party?". "Yeah you will!" I said walking away towards my house. "See you there!" I yelled before closing the door. After I closed the door I let a struggled sigh. My ma's car wasn't in the garage so she wasn't home. I had the house to myself. "OH MY FUCKING GOSH!!!! FUCK! WHAT THE HELL! UGH!" I let out all of my frustrations. I was reeling and I didn't know what to do. I have never felt this way... I have never really felt anything. I just... I just... I don't even know what to do or say or anything really. I screamed. What the hell was happening to me!! Do I have feelings now or something?! I ran upstairs to my room and stripped my clothes off and threw on them off somewhere else in the room. I pulled out my red tight dress and wiggled into it. I pulled on a black leather jacket with the spikes on the collar and my black combats boots. I'm pretty sure you know which ones I'm talking about. I un pinned my hair and let it fall everywhere. I smiled and looked at the time. 9:55 GREAT! Now I was going to be late to the party! I grabbed my phone and keys ran downstairs. I called Lilly to tell her about the date.
