Sam's POV
Now is not the time to asses these type of thougts at school. I just need to think about the fact that he wanted to take me to Paris Midi! Wow just... wow. He must really want to impress me cause that place is very fancy. Usually on a date the guy takes me out to a movie and try to eat my face or some lame shit like that. This was an actual first date! "Nice choice, Curli" I said nodding in approval. He gave me a big smile. "But! I have to be home before 9:00 because I have a party to go to." I said in a matter of fact voice. " Your going to Zack's party?" Lou asked. "Well of course I am!" I said looking at him like he was insane. " But the party starts at 8:00." Lou said seeming really confused. " And I'm coming at 9:00." I replied quickly. Lou started to say something but Jessie cut him off. "Ok, I'll pick you up at 7:00... where do you live?". I hated telling people where I live. Mostly beause I was bad at giving directions and mainly because I was too lazy to give them. "Why don't you ask your friend Nerd Straps he knows exactly where I live." I said walking away. When I rejoined Lilly she had a big grin on her face. "What!?" I said. I hated when she smiled at me like that. "So where is he taking you?' she said the grin never fading . "Paris Midi!" I said in a causal tone. "What! Really?" she said her eyes nearly popping out of her head. "Yeah... so?" I said trying not to show my true feelings about the sitution. Ugh. There it is again feelings. She started to say something but the bell cut her off. "Byyyyyiiiiieeee!" I said quickly walking away before she could catch up to me. I walked into Thelma's office, she was sitting at her going through some papers. "Good Morning Samantha!" she said in her perky voice. "Morning" I said barely opening my mouth. " Did you write last night?" she asked. "Nope." I said popping the "p" as put a soft peppermint in my mouth. "Why not?" she said in a disappointed tone. "I dunno know. Didn't feel like it I guess." I said with a shrug. She closed her eyes and let out a struggled sigh trying to keep her cool. I didn't care if I was making her mad or stressed. I just sat there and tapped my feet to an imaginary beat.
*10 minutes later*
I walked out of her office with my usual flare. When I got to my first class I didn't even bother giving my Mr. Dobb the note, I just walked to my seat and plopped down. "Sup Nutcase!" Lilly said looking at me. "Sup Blondie!" I said with a tired voice. "What's wrong with you?" she asked frowning. "Well ya know if you pretend to be good for a while maybe they'll stop making you go." She said in a suggestive tone. I pulled out a sheet of paper so we could write notes to each other.
Me: THAT'S A GREAT IDEA BUT it involves too much work
Lily: well don't you want to stop going to see Thelma?
Me: Yes
Lily: then be good!
Me: ugh! I really don't want to... But I guess I'll try maybe...
Lily: alrighty then!
She handed me back the paper and I stuffed it in my binder. What if I did pretend to be good? Would I really not have to go to Thelma anymore? Maybe? I might pretend to be good and I have changed my ways, but only if things got bad. Only then, will I do that.
