* Emma's POV *

I woke up in what looked like a basement, only flashes of what happened coming to my mind. Neal had beaten me, calling me a slut and a whore, telling me I was tainted now that another man had touched me. I'd fought back, only barely keeping him from violating me until I finally went unconscious.

I winced as I sat up, leaning on the cold wall I appeared to be chained to. I looked around but only saw damp cement and wooden stairs. I looked down at the ring on my finger, my heart aching. I was supposed to meet Killian. What was he going to think? God, why didn't I just wait five minutes for him to get ready?

*Killian's POV *

I did the only thing I could think of, going to my brother Liam. He was a cop, but he'd keep it private. I knocked on his door anxiously, my friends all staring at me as I started to pace.

"Killian?" Liam asked as he opened the door. "What's wrong?"

"I..." tears gathered in my eyes as I looked at him, trying to find the words. He sighed, pulling me inside as David explained.

"Sorry," Liam shook his head in disbelief. "I just need a minute to understand the girlfriend part. I've never heard of Killian having a girlfriend."

"Whatever, just please help me," I said desperately. "I-I can't lose her, Liam."

He nodded, grabbing his work laptop. After a while he wrote down an address.

"His family owns a house across town," he handed it to me and grabbed a jacket. "We'll go there and see if we can find anything. But you have to calm down. Your pacing is freaking me out and I have to be to work this afternoon."

"I love her, Liam," I said quietly. "I promised nothing would happen to her. I said I'd be there for her."

"I know you do," he smiled sadly. "And you will be. So let's go get your girl, okay?"

I just nodded and we all piled into his SUV. God please let her be okay.

*Emma's POV *

Neal was in the middle of beating me, trying to get between my legs after ripping my panties off as I screamed, when there was a loud bang from upstairs and light filled the room. He was tackled off of me then suddenly someone who looked kind of like Killian wrapped a blanket around me and picked me up. I heard a lot of fighting, too weak to look up at the probably now four guys fighting with Neal.

"Emma?" I heard Killian coming closer and soon taking me from the unknown man. "Can you hear me, love?"

"Get her to the car," the other guy said. "We'll take care of him. You just take care of her."

I was soon outside in the dark, then in a backseat where more blankets were laid over me in his lap. My eyes fluttered open when I felt his fingers running through my hair repeatedly, looking up at him and immediately relaxing.

"There's my Swan," he tried to smile but I could see tears on his cheeks. "You had me worried sick, you know that?"

"Sorry," I choked out. "I didn't mean to."

"Shh, it's okay," he said softly, kissing my forehead. "It wasn't your fault. We'll be back home soon and we'll get you cleaned up. Just rest."

"Thank you," I said weakly.

"I told you, Swan," he kissed my lips gently. "Always."

The next time I woke up I was being carried into an unfamiliar apartment, held tight to Killian's chest. I watched his face carefully, reaching a shaky hand up to his cheek. His head snapped down, his face lighting up as his eyes met mine.

"Hey, beautiful," he smiled softly, walking me into the bathroom. "I'm just going to help you get cleaned up, okay?"

I nodded and he set me in the tub, gently taking off what was left of my clothes and turning on the hot water. He knelt next to me as I pulled my knees up to my chest and hugged them, hiding my face. He carefully cleaned blood and dirt off my back, letting my hair down to wash it as well.

"I thought we'd stay here for a while," he said softly as he lifted my chin and cleaned my face. "I'm sure Ruby can take notes for you and it's a quiet place to rest and heal."

"Where is here?" I asked quietly, studying his face as he cleaned the rest of me, pain in his eyes.

"This is my brother's place," he said as he turned off the water and put a pair of his sweatpants and his tshirt on me. "He helped me find you, and he said we could stay here as long as we need to."

I just nodded and he picked me up, sitting across the sofa with me between his legs. He started brushing my hair, kissing the back of my neck softly as I relaxed against his chest.

I turned to lean my side against him, wrapping my arm around his waist and the other up around his neck as I tucked my head into the crook of his neck. He held me close, rubbing my back gently with his face in my hair.

"Before you ask, he didn't do any of that," I said quietly, my voice breaking. "He tried, and he beat the hell out of me but-"

"Shh," he cut me off, hugging me tighter and kissing my forehead. "Its okay. You're safe now, Swan. You don't even have to think about it."

"You're not mad at me?" I asked, looking up at him as he pulled a blanket over us. "For not waiting for you this morning?"

"Of course not, love," he assured me, holding me close as I curled into him. "You didn't know this was going to happen. I'm just so glad you're alive."

"You're my hero, remember?" I smiled a little and he smirked, brushing my hair out of my face. "Thank you."

"I told you, I'll always be right here," he smiled softly. "You wanna know why?" I nodded. "Because I love you so much."

"I love you, too," I whispered, tears in my eyes as I reached behind his neck and pulled him down to my lips.
