*Emma's POV *

I woke up before dawn Friday morning, feeling something brushing my stomach. I opened my eyes to see Killian completely ready for work, kneeling by the bed and watching me with a small smile. His hand was on my stomach, his thumb running over my skin again and again.

"Good morning, beautiful," he said softly. "I wasn't going to wake you, I was just talking to the little one."

"It can't hear you yet, you dork," I sighed but smiled as I rolled over to face him and he put his other hand on my head, stroking my hair gently. "Our appointment is at one, is that okay?"

"Perfect," he nodded, leaning up to kiss me softly. "Should I pick you up or do you want to meet me at my office?"

"The doctor is in the city anyway," I said, still half asleep as I looked up at him. "I'll just take a cab up there and check in with my boss. You think we'll have time to go home and change before the party?"

"Just bring our clothes and we'll figure it out," he smiled a bit. "If anything the one woman in the office can help you get ready."

"Okay," I half smiled. "I'll meet you at your office just after noon."

"Alright, I gotta go. Goodbye little one," he said as he kissed my stomach then my lips. "And goodbye my beautiful wife. Go back to sleep."

"Kay," I smiled and he kissed me again deeply before pulling the blanket over me and going to work. "God I love him," I sighed to myself as I fell back to sleep.

I got up later that morning, putting on a nice dress and getting my things ready to go. Killian was just wearing his uniform so I only had to bring my dress. After checking in with my boss I hung my dress in the truck before heading into his office. I'd never been there, so I stopped at the front desk.

"Excuse me," I said politely and the receptionist looked up. "Hi, I'm, uhm, looking for my husband. Killian Jones, do you know where I can find him?"

"He's actually in a meeting with the Secretary of the Navy," she said after glancing at a clipboard. "But it shouldn't be more than ten minutes. His office is the second one on the left down that hall."

I nodded, going to the door with K. Jones on it and going to sit in his desk chair. I soon heard his voice coming down the hall with someone else, suddenly feeling like I shouldn't be there. I stood up, going to the other side of the desk and fidgeting with my wedding ring.

"No, I'm very sorry, Sir," I heard him say. "I can't stay for lunch with you today, I have an appointment with my wife." They walked in and I half smiled anxiously as he grinned in surprise. "Speaking of..."

"Well, hello there," the other man smiled and I stepped closer to shake his hand. "I'm just his boss, but a lovely girl like you can call me George. Very nice to finally meet this wife he goes on and on about. We were starting to wonder if he made you up."

"Hi, George," I laughed a little, wringing my hands but soon feeling Killian's hand on my hip pulling me closer to him and glancing at him. "I was just meeting Killian for lunch. I didn't mean to interrupt."

"Don't worry about that," he brushed off my apology "We're finished anyway. And he said you two had an appointment, so that must be important. Go ahead and we'll talk at the party tonight."

"Looking forward to it," I smiled a little and he walked out after patting Killian's shoulder. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I was just going to wait for you in here and-"

"Hey," he cut me off gently, kissing me deeply until I relaxed and wrapped my arms around his neck as his tightened around my waist. "I'm glad you were in here. I missed you."
