*Emma's POV*

This entire week had been so perfect, I just couldn't explain it. Liam had volunteered to stay through the weekend, making sure we had every possible moment together- which was really weird, but extremely nice as well- apparently finding it beyond important that that happened. I woke up early every day to make breakfast for Killian before he went to work, spending the day writing with Mia sitting in her seat on my desk, and falling asleep in his arms every night. Somehow we'd even fallen back into our prepregancy intimacy schedule- which was basically just whenever we had time. Like I said, perfect.

Friday, however, was different. My publisher was having a huge party for all their newly published writers, which included me since tonight was the first time my first novel would be available. Liam was coming to get Mia and take her home about an hour into the party since it'd be better than having her get woken up in the middle of the night when we got home. I spent the entire afternoon getting ready, the fairytale theme making it uniquely difficult.

"How is it you get more beautiful every time I see you?" Killian asked as he came home, kissing my cheek as I got Mia in her carseat

"How is it you get more beautiful every time I see you?" Killian asked as he came home, kissing my cheek as I got Mia in her carseat. "Its just not fair."

"I blame the dress," I said, blushing a little and looking back up when he came back out in his tux. "Either that, or you've been drugged."

"Could you help me with this damn tie?" He asked with frustration, pulling me against him sharply by my hips. I giggled a little and his voice changed as he watched me tie his bowtie. "I think it's just that you take my breath away, no matter how many times I see you."

"Wow, what a line," I teased him, smoothing out his collar and he yanked me even closer with a smirk. "Oh, come on, you know I love it. You caught me with something quite similar."

"It's not a line if I mean it," he argued. "Clichés are clichés for a reason, love, and with you they're all true."

"Aww, you love me," I smiled, keeping my teasing tone as I wrapped my arms loosely around his neck. "Its so adorable. Come on, it's your turn to let me show you off."

"It'd be my honor," he grinned, kissing me deeply until I couldn't breathe. "Sorry, I've been waiting to do that all day. We can go now."

"You're not the only one who's been waiting for that," I smiled a little, kissing him again deeply. "But more of that later. We're going to be late."

"Alright," he sighed dramatically but smiled, keeping his arm around me as I picked up Mia in her carseat and we went out to the truck. I buckled her in and he took my hand, threading his fingers through mine over her as he pulled out of the driveway. "Oh, Liam called. He's coming early so he can get a signed copy of your book before he takes her home."

"He is?" I asked almost nervously. "He doesn't have to do that. It's not a big deal, it's just a book."

"Hey, what's wrong?" He asked with concern, squeezing my hand and glancing between me and the road. "Its your first novel, of course it's a big deal. Do you not want Liam there?"
