*Emma's POV*
We were now only months from the wedding and Killian had been away for almost two weeks for work, giving Ruby and I a chance to make a few finishing touches. Today we were finally going to shop for my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and flowers for the bouquets. I submitted my next chapter of my novel to my editor just as there was a knock at the front door.
"Coming!" I called as I hurried to the door, finding Ruby practically bouncing on the porch. "Sorry, I was just finishing something for work. You sure Mary Margaret and Regina won't mind us doing this without them?"
"They're busy even more than you are, they'll live," she rolled her eyes and dragged me to her car. "Besides, its about you and your day. The wedding is only two months away, you've been putting this off way too long."
"We have to make this quick then," I sighed as we walked into the store full of so much white I was drowning in it. "I have more work to do and I want to be there when Killian gets home. Whenever that actually is, considering he was supposed to be home after three days and now it's been two damn weeks. Like I'm not annoyed or fucking worried or anything."
"There's the attitude I've come to expect when you miss him!" She said cheerfully, putting her arm around my shoulders as I glared at her. "I've missed bitchy and pissed off Emma. She's so entertaining."
"Shut up," I grumbled. "You'll bee seeing enough of that once he leaves for the Navy. Let's just get this done so I can go home. I've been sleeping for shit lately."
"Poor lonely Emma," she teased me as we shopped. "Can't even sleep all alone. Just go try this on."
It took hours but we eventually found all the dresses we needed, deciding to leave mine at her place so Killian wouldn't see it. From there we went to the flower shop, spending far too much time there as well. It was going to be a very small wedding, but I wanted it to be perfect. Especially because we only had a few days afterwards before he left for the Navy and I wouldn't see him for months. It was dark by the time we pulled back into my driveway, having spent hours at a bar with some idea that it'd help me sleep.
"Now go inside," she pushed me out of her car and I stumbled, making her laugh considering she hadn't had nearly as much as I had. "You're so drunk. Go get some sleep before you fall over."
"Byee!" I called from the door, waving and stumbling into the house. It wasn't as dark as it should have been inside, a light coming from the bedroom. I followed it, confused until I saw Killian sitting on the bed in only his pajama pants and reading a book. "Killian?"
"I was wondering when I'd see you," he smirked as he looked up. "Ruby left a message on my phone that she took you out, I was just hoping I'd catch you before you passed out."
"Killian!" I all but yelled, dropping my stuff as I practically jumped on him and he grinned as he caught me in a tight embrace. "I'm so pissed off at you! I missed you so much!"
"I missed you too, love," he chuckled at me, moving my hair to kiss along my jaw. "I never meant to be gone so long, but so much happened we just couldn't get back."
"Ugh, I hate you so much," I said angrily, catching his lips with mine. I felt him smile, quickly rolling over so he was on top of me as he kissed me deeply and ran his hand up my leg to hitch my thigh up on his waist. "Mmm... but I missed you even more."
"Then shut that beautiful mouth of yours so I can kiss you," he smirked, making me giggle as he kissed me again. Nearly an hour later we were both sweating and breathing heavily as our lips met yet again, his weight actually comforting me as he rested on me a bit. "Why did I spend two weeks without you?"
