I swallowed hard, my hands shaking as I folded it back up and set it on the coffee table. Tears gathered in my eyes as I looked up at him through my eyelashes. He lifted my chin and kissed me softly, instantly making me relax.

"I won't let him near you," he said quietly, leaning his forehead on mine. "He won't hurt you again. I promise."

"I'm not worried about me," I said, putting my hands on his cheeks. "I can't let you get hurt because of me. I could never live with myself."

"Then I guess we'll have to stay safe together then, won't we?" He smirked a little, obviously trying to lighten the mood.

I couldn't help but smile, kissing him again softly before he quickly deepened it. I forgot we weren't alone, wrapping my arms around his neck as I kissed him back. He obviously forgot about all the people around us as well, pulling me to straddle him and pressing me into him even more.

Someone finally cleared their throat when he pushed me back onto the sofa, still between my legs as he crawled over me. We didn't stop, however, just kissing more passionately. I heard the TV turn up and everyone started talking as we continued.

"I love you so much," he whispered, kissing me softly again and again.

"I love you, too" I breathed out just as he kissed me again deeply. I moaned softly as his hand slid under my shirt to grip my chest gently, running my hands up to his hair.

"Hey!" Ruby practically yelled at us until we looked up. "The foods here you animals. Eat before you starve."

Killian smirked, pulling me back up to sit in his lap as I blushed bright red. She handed us one of the pizzas and sat down between Robin and Will. I leaned my side against his chest, his arm tight around my waist to rest on my stomach.

"You're in so much trouble," I told him with a small smile as I ate and he looked at me questioningly. "Did you think I wouldn't notice the trail you left?"

"Oh, that," he grinned, leaning closer to suck on my neck just below my jaw. I sighed, closing my eyes and biting my lip as I felt the dark mark forming on my skin. "Do you not like that?"

"I didn't say stop," I said softly and I felt him smile, kissing the spot gently before starting to eat as well. "But I did get quite a few stares when I went to my room."

"That could just be because you're so beautiful," he smiled, running his thumb along the skin of my stomach. "I know I can't stop staring even when I have you in my arms."

"Shut up," I blushed and he laughed softly, holding me tighter. "You're still helping me study after lunch."

"Can we do that in my bedroom?" He smirked, whispering in my ear. "It'll be fun, I promise."

"Fine," I giggled a little. "But we have to study. If I flunk out I'll have to move and then I'll never see you."

"You're so mean," he pouted as I got up and grabbed my bag, following behind me.

"But you love me," I teased him as I plopped down on his bed on my stomach. I pulled out my book and my notes, soon feeling him lay next to me on his side.

"Yes I do," he said seriously, running his hand along my waist repeatedly. "And thank you by the way. For not freaking out when I tell you that."

"Hey," I turned to him a little, putting my hand on his cheek. "I know my walls suck, and they've probably ruined every good thing in my life up to this point. Which is probably how I ended up mixed up with Neal in the first place. But I don't want this to be like that. Because I do love yo-"

He cut me off with his lips, taking me completely off guard as he kissed me deeply. He slowly pulled away, kissing me softly a few more times before leaning his forehead on mine.

"It won't be like that," he assured me. "You can put up walls a mile high and I'll still be here. I know the second we aren't together you're going to start over thinking and pushing me away because you think it'll keep me from getting hurt."

"But I just can't let you-" he kissed me again quickly.

"I don't need your permission to love you," he smiled a little, brushing hair out of my face and keeping his hand on my cheek. "You're going to have to get used to it, okay?"

"You promise?" I asked quietly, feeling tears behind my eyes.

He leaned behind him, pulling something out of the drawer and kissing me again deeply before I could see it. I heard something flip open as he pulled away, leaning his forehead on mine.

"I promise," he whispered and I looked down to see a ring in his hand. My heart stopped, my eyes widening as I lost the ability to breathe.

"K-Killian," I stuttered, swallowing hard as I stared at the single diamond on the silver band. "What are you..."

"I'm not proposing," he smiled softly. "I know its early, but its a promise ring, and I'm promising to be here and to love you. Always. And one day, if you haven't gotten sick of me and it's what you want, then I'll do the whole, get on one knee and give you a ring that costs more than my degree. This is my promise."

Tears slipped down my cheeks as I grabbed him, kissing him with everything I had. He immediately wrapped his arms around me, pulling me against him as he kissed me hard. He pulled away a bit when my tears hit his face, wiping them from my cheeks and kissing me again softly.

"So you'll wear it?" He asked quietly, a nervous tremble in his voice that made me giggle a little.

"Of course I will," I smiled softly and he grinned, sliding it on my finger. I couldn't help but giggle again, forgetting all about my studying when he kissed me again deeply, holding me close.
