*Killian's POV *

I had been discharged a week ago, but I spent every moment I could at the hospital with Emma. She'd been distant and quiet since that first night, some days pushing me away and others clinging to me like her life depended on it. It got frustrating sometimes how quickly it could switch, but she wouldn't be Emma if she wasn't difficult.

Today was apparently a clingy day, as I walked into the hospital room to find her sobbing with her back to the door. I rushed over to her, dropping my jacket and sitting next to her.

"Emma?" I put my hand on her shoulder and she turned around, curling into my chest as my arms wrapped around her. "Its okay. I'm here. Don't worry, I'm here."

I held her tightly, running my fingers through her hair as she slowly calmed down. I kissed her forehead and she looked up, catching my lips with hers. I kissed her deeply and she finally relaxed, pulling at my collar as she kissed me back.

"There we go," I whispered, kissing her again sweetly. "All better."

"Thank you," she sighed, leaning her forehead on mine. "You always make me feel so much better."

"Any time, Swan," I smiled a bit, kissing her forehead. "How are you feeling today? How's your pain?"

"You took the question right out of my mouth," her doctor said cheerfully as she came in. "But I'd love an answer. Can I see your incision?"

"I'll go grab your breakfast," I said, giving Emma a small smile and kissing her softly. "I'll lay be back in two minutes, okay? Don't worry."

She nodded, tears still in her eyes as I kissed her cheek and left the room to get her breakfast.

*Emma's POV *

I watched him go, trying to wipe my face. My doctor lifted my gown and moved the bandage, and prodding my abdomen around my scar.

"So how are you feeling?" She asked, checking my chart. "Since you refused to talk to a therapist about the loss of your baby, I'm assuming you're coping on your own."

"I'm fine," I said for the millionth time. "My incision doesn't hurt anymore, I'm not throwing up anymore, and I've been stable for a week and a half."

"Have you told him yet?" She asked, sitting on the edge of my bed.

"No," I snapped. "I haven't. Are you done now?"

"Emma, he needs to know about the baby," she sighed. "You need a support system before I can let you go home."

"He is my support system," I said quietly. "He just... doesn't need to know about this yet. We've been through hell together in the last three and a half years but this... this will break him."

"But it's breaking you," she insisted. "You have to tell someone. Anyone."

"His brother knows," I admitted. "He found out when I did. Is that enough?"

"I guess," she sighed, getting up. "I'll process your paperwork and have you home this afternoon."

"Thank you," I nodded, looking down.

"Just so you know," she stopped in the doorway and I looked up. "It was a boy."

She left as I started to cry again, putting my hand on my stomach. Killian came in a few minutes later and nearly dropped his stuff as he came over and pulled me into his arms.

"What is it?" He asked gently, pulling away to look at me. "Are you in pain?"

"No," I shook my head. "I get to go home today."

"Well that's a good thing, love," he smiled softly. "You get to sleep in your own bed and eat real food. Start the new year at home."

"Yeah," I nodded, calming a bit as he held me. "I'm okay. I'm sorry."

"It's fine, love," he kissed my forehead. "Why don't we have breakfast and get you ready to go home?"

I nodded and he kissed me softly before grabbing the bag of food and cups of coffee. After we ate they took out my IV and he helped me get dressed in sweats and a tank top. Liam came in a while later to pick us up, staring at me like he always did lately.

"You two ready?" He asked and Killian nodded as he got my things together. "I'll go pull the car up then."

He left and Killian helped me into a wheelchair, crouching down to my level. He kissed me softly, not pulling away until I was breathless. He smiled, kissing me again quickly.

"I can't wait to have you home with me," he sighed, putting his hand on my cheek as he looked at me. "I've been going crazy there without you."

"You'll be sick of me again in no time," I smiled a bit. "But I'm pretty excited too."

Killian insisted on carrying me into the dorm where we were bombarded by our friends. He just brought me into our room, getting me in bed so I could lean against the headboard.

"Do you need anything?" He asked as he pulled the comforter up over me. "You hungry? Or I can make you some tea? Or I can get some movies from the living room?"

"Killian," I giggled a bit. "I'm fine. All I need is you to get over here." He smiled, sitting next to me and wrapping his arms around me. "See? Much better."

"I think so," he sighed, leaning his cheek on the top of my head as I cuddled into him and turned on the TV. "Emma?"

"Hmm?" I looked up.

"I love you," he said quietly and I smiled a bit.

"I love you, too," I said softly, putting my hand on his cheek.

He smiled slightly, leaning down to kiss me. I sighed softly as he kissed me more deeply, gripping his shirt with my other hand. He ran his hand down my side and to my thigh but then froze.

"I don't want to hurt you," he whispered, barely pulling away to look at me. "You just got home."

"It's okay," I assured him softly, sliding off my sweats. "I don't hurt any more."

"Are you sure?" He asked, clearly afraid to touch me. "We don't have to..."

He trailed off when I pulled my shirt off, his eyes running over me as I pulled his off as well. He ran his fingertips down my back, his eyes on mine as he leaned closer and brushed his lips along my collar bone. I moved closer, running my hands over his chest as he moved to hover over me. The moment his lips touched my stomach, I froze.

"Killian," I said quietly and he moved up to look in my eyes. "I have to tell you something."
