New Tandem

"OMG! Eve, may big news ako! Naku maloloka ka dito! Jusko help me Lord!" Natigil ako sa pagnguya ng mansanas sa tili ng make-up artist ko simula bata na si Ronald.

"Ano? Break na and tandem ni Luis at Alyssa?" Natigial naman siya sa sinabi ko at napangiwi.

"Alam mo? Wala na bang ibang mahihiling kung di sana mag break ang mga loveteam ng idustreya? Gusto mo bang magka world war III? O bitter ka lang kay Luis?" Inirapan ko siya. I'm not bitter.

Love teams. I was never fond of love teams ever since. Nakakakilig para sa mga audience, yes, but behind the scenes nakaka sakal. People expect you to be all sweet and caring kahit hindi na nag ro-roll yung camera. Do they expect us to act like real life couples? Acting nga diba? Sa camera lang dapat? So I don't get the buzz.

"Whatever. So ano yung BIG news?" Nagtaas baba ang bibig niya na parang hindi niya alam kung itutuloy niya ba ang sasabihin niya.

"Alam mo? Mamanya na. Sasbihin din naman mamaya sayo ni Ate Em. Siya naman manager mo kaya siya dapat ang magsabi sayo diba?" Kumunot ang nuo ko at hinarap ko ang swivel chair sakanya para matignan siya ng maayos.

"What is it? Kung si Ate Em pa talaga ang magsasabi, must be important. Ano yun?" Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.

"Hay nako wag na. Tapusin mo na yang mansanas mo at mag sta-start na ang shoot. Come on, make up time!" Pumalakpak pa siya.

Olivia Alejandra Monteflanco, or better known as Eve Monteflanco is the most sought out teen actress in her generation. With over 100 commercials and endorsements', she was born for fame and is a game changer. She has done brilliantly in her recently ended teleserye and this year the teen actress will have her first debut on the big screen. Watch out for the new IT girl.

Bigatin ang mga Monteflanco sa larangan ng business. My dad is the first born of the Monteflanco at sakanya napana ang kompanya. Of course may shares din ang mga kapatid niya.

My Mom is a top notch actress nung kapanahunan pa niya. And when the two got married, it was only natural for everyone to know. Hindi ako ang panganay, but I'm the only daughter and I have one older brother who's most likely to follow my dad's footsteps.

I was scouted when I was two para sa isang diaper commercial at nung seven ako may nag scout naman sakin para sa isang modelling job, pero ayaw ni Mama. She didn't want me to do showbiz. Wala din naman akong pake dati kaya wala lang din sakin yun.

Not until I turned ten. Sanay na naman akong makilala ng mga tao bilang anak ni Veronica Alejandra Brillian at Amante Ordel Monteflanco. I was known just for that, so one day, I thought; why not make a name for myself?

At first ayaw ni Mama, she said showbiz might hurt me. Alam ko naman yun, nothing in this life is 'hurtless' as what she said to me. Everything and anything can and will hurt; you just have to choose which ones those are worth hurting for. So, binalkan namin yung nag scout sakin and they gladly took me as a model for teen clothes. Hanggang sa may nag offer sakin ng commercial job at dun na natuloy tuloy.

Of course I wasn't an instant hit. Pumila din nam nako sa mga audition para sa mga roles. My Mom strictly forbid special treatment, dahil kung dahil lang dun kaya ako sumikat. It's worthless. At tama naman din siya. It's better if you work hard for something that you want. Para naman may masabi ka.

"Good, good one, Eve. Now, look here." Sabi ng photographer.

"One more....nice....yes. It's a wrap everyone!" Haaay. Thank God, I can rest for the day. It's already 3 in the morning and I have a shoot at six in the morning tomorrow. Kahit 30 minutes power nap lang kerry na!
