The Hook-up

Chapter 128

Bruno led Lauren out into the kitchen moving the chair for her to sit down at. "Is that okay?" he asked her looking at the food.

"It's fine." She smiled pointing to the chair next to her telling him to sit down. "Is it okay for you?"

"It's always good when my mom cooks for me." He smiled at his mother.

"Right. It always is." Bernie answered him. "Lauren, are you feeling better?"

"Yeah. I really needed that nap." She answered looking at his sister who made a grossed out face.

"I don't want to know what you two are making faces about." Bernie said handing Lauren a glass of water. "Because most likely I will make a worse looking face."

"You will, mom. It's not for mom's to know." Tahiti said.

"But you'll hear about it on the album." Bruno said winking at Lauren.

"Oh geezus." She rolled her eyes laughing at him as she reached for her ringing phone. "It's the hotel...." She looked at the number again. "Maybe it's Lily...Hello?"

They all looked at her as she nodded her head with a smile that got bigger and bigger as she listened to the conversation. "What is she saying?" Bruno asked leaning over a little to instantly get pushed away. "Owwww." He answered reaching down to take a bite of his food before she hung up.

"We're getting married Saturday!" she told all of them reaching her hands in the air in triumph clapping them out of excitement. "We have one day to get everyone here...." She said watching everyone get up to scramble to get things.

"Wait!" Bruno exclaimed still sitting with Lauren. "Calm down. It will all work out. We just have a few people from Lauren's family to call. It's going to be small. Some other people can come but we want it small...."

"Right. Small. Not a big deal at all." Lauren told everyone.

"Okay...everyone sit down. Let's finish eating and then we'll talk about Saturday..." his mother told everyone. They sat and talked about how excited everyone was going to be for about thirty minutes until Tahiti had to run to get her youngest son who suddenly decided to go outside to swim.

"Are our kids going to be like that?" Lauren asked Bruno quietly as everyone started to clear the table.

"If they aren't then they aren't mine." He said playfully helping her up from her chair.

"Were you serious about that being on the album?" she asked as they realized they were the only ones in the room.

"Babe, it already is." He smiled at her.

"I can't wait to hear what you wrote." She told him helping him to wash the dishes.

"Lauren! Come with me!" Presley ran into the quiet kitchen where they were standing nexto each other with Bruno humming something to himself. Presley reached for Lauren's hand before Lauren could respond.

"You're doing a good job, B. You can do it!" Lauren said loudly feeling herself flung on the couch.

"Call everyone now!" Tiara exclaimed handing Lauren the phone.

"We have to get the tickets first..." she said to them.

"Oh, hang on..." one of his sisters reached for a tablet nearby. "Go get Brunito's card...." Anpother sister got up running back with several credit cards in her hand.

"Which one?" she asked.

"The red one...that's his debit card." She said glancing over everything to find tickets and flights for the handful of people she needed to book them for then sending quick e-mails to everyone receiving a phone call from her mother within seconds of the e-mail being sent. "Hi mom!" she said excitedly. "Yes! I will see you then!" she finished the short conversation. "And please bring some chanclas with you."

"Babbbyyy...." Bruno sang loudly as he walked into the room as Lauren finished up her conversation with her mother.

"Shush. I'm almost done..." she said playfully to him while he pushed his sister away from Lauren to sit next to her. "Okay...done..." Lauren said hanging up the phone. "Are you ready to go home?" she asked hm.

"Yeah. Let's go, momma..." he said struggling to get up from his spot he squeezed into. He dramatically got up moaning because of the small space to reach his hand out for her. "I know it's hard..." he smiled at her holding her up.

"Ugggh." She answered watching his sisters groan grossed out by their affection.

"Get out of my house..." Tiara told them.

"We are!" Bruno answered reaching for his keys saying good bye to everyone.

After the car door closed Lauren reached for Bruno's had playing with the rings on his fingers. "We need to get rings..." she told him. "In a day..."

"I know where we can go. We'll go tomorrow." He reassured her.

"Will they really be able to do it all in a day?" she asked.

"Laur...this is going to work out. If Lilly got everything together in two days this one thing can be done in a day."

"Are you sure?" she asked a little nervous.

"Yes..." he squeezed her hand backing out of the long driveway turning to touch her cheek. "Let's go cuddle and watch movies..."
