<Sam's POV>

Dean disappeared last night for another one-night-stand. That means I finally get a bed. I can't sleep for long though. My phone alarm goes off at 9:30, effectively pulling me out of dreams of Keira and I. I'm embarrassed to say that, yes, I was dreaming about her, and yes, it was R rated.

I glance over at her, sleeping. She looks peaceful, comfortable. It was only a couple days ago that we met Balthazar, and she admitted that he scared the hell out of her. It was understandable. If I wasn't in this business as long as I have been, I would be worried too.

In any case, it's nice to see that she's relaxed.

"Good morning in Vietnam!" Lucifer says suddenly, speaking through a megaphone.

I swear and jump about a foot in the air. Keira groans, rolling over and pushing her jet black hair out of her eyes. Lucifer climbs up on her bed and starts jumping up and down. She mutters something under her breath and sticks her foot out, shoving him off the bed.

He lands on the floor hard and rolls over, looking at the ceiling contemplatively. He disappeared when he realized what was going down the Moses Staff case. He decided that he didn't want to deal with Balthazar or Cas and just...went back to wherever he'd been before he started bothering us.

"Damn," she says under her breath and sits up.

"Having good dreams?" Lucifer teases.

She flushes and stalks to the bathroom.

"Great," I say without feeling.

Now he's pissed her off. So much for having a nice day. Lucifer whistles lowly.

"Looks like it's that time of the month," he sings.

I shake my head and get out of bed, going over to the coffee maker.

"Hey, Sam. I was thinking, maybe we could go to the playground and knock some kids off the swings and then we could all get drunk at the bar. What d'you say? Wanna see if Keira knows how to table dance?"

I give him a dull, irritated look and he puts his hands up in a gesture of surrender. Keira comes out of the bathroom a second later, running a brush through her hair. It's obvious that she really didn't do anything other than wash her face and maybe use the toilet because she's still in her boy shorts and tank top from the night before.

"Hey Sam, maybe we should just go out for breakfast?" she asks.

"Yeah, I was about to say that. We don't have any coffee," I reply.

Her eyes widen in horror.

"Oh no. I cannot deal with him," she points at Lucifer, "without coffee."

I chuckle.

"Alright, get dressed and we'll get going," I say.

She yawns and points at me.

"You're not dressed either," she complains, but goes over to her bag for her stuff.

"I'll be out in a sec," she calls, her folded up clothes in tow.

I can't help but stare after her. I really like those short-shorts on her. Lucifer clears his throat conspicuously and quickly jump into action, pulling my clothes on. Keira reemerges about five minutes later. Today she's wearing a rosey pink top with flower print shorts. She smiles at me as she pulls on her denim jacket.

"Hey, you ready?" she asks.

"Yeah, let's go," I say and we walk out the door.

We share the sidewalk, talking idly as Lucifer follows. As we enter the diner and Lucifer checks out the hostess, Keira sends me an amused look.
