"Moony!! Aren't you excited?!"

I shout as I make my way downstairs with my broom in hand skipping a few steps as I go.

"Excited that you are going back to school? Yes." He says with a mischievous smile.

"That was rude Moony. You should be sad that I leave for school every year! But this year, will be the best! Because you get to come with me!" I say while he brings, well more like drags my very heavy trunk downstairs for me.

"Merlin you are just like your father." He manages to grunt out, luckily he's got that extra strength (if you know what I mean).

"I take that as a compliment, thank you very much!" I say poking my tongue at him and he just chuckles and shakes his head muttering something like, 'exactly like him' I think.

"But yes, Paws I am excited Dumbledore has let me be a professor with, well you know."

I do know about Remus' condition, I saw him transform a couple years back and me, being the great god-daughter I am, wanted to help him so he taught me ("against his better judgement") how to be an animagus! I'm a black dog, apparently like my father, except I have white little paws, hence the name Paws!

"Oh c'mon Remus," His head snapped up to look at me, I only ever call him Remus when I'm being serious or upset.

"Dumbledore knows what a great man you are. He isn't going to look down on you because of your furry little problem. So stop talking like you're a nuisance, because your not!"

I hate when he puts himself down because of something he couldn't help. He doesn't deserve to be treated the way he is, he's just like everyone else except he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

"Thank you Evey, I-it's hard for me. You know that, not a lot of people accept me—"

"Well I do and so does Dumbledore and that's all that matters." I say placing my hands on my hips to show him I'm dead serious.

"Yes, yes it is." He says while pulling me into one of his hugs, the kind where it's almost hard to breath, that I've loved since I was little.

"You know, you're a lot like your mum too. Her, your father, and the Potters were the only people who didn't judge me for my condition. I'm very greatful you don't either."

My mum, I remember some things about her, how her and Dad would sing me to sleep, how they would play games with Harry and I. I try not to think about them, but that Halloween night is forever burned into my mind.

I lost both my parents that night and so did Harry, something we'll unfortunately have in common. But I'm lucky to have Remus. He's like a father to me, the greatest godfather ever and I couldn't be more greatful, I just wish I could see them again.

"Hey you okay Paws?"

"Huh? Oh yeah." I say with a slight smile.

Another thing about Remus is he doesn't try to force things out of me. He can tell when I'm upset, but he knows I'll tell him sooner or later.

"Just got to thinking about Mum and Dad again. Nothing to worry about." My mood already the opposite from what it was earlier.

"Evelyn." I look up at his sympathetic brown eyes. "I know you're strong, even for your age, but if you need to talk about anything just know I am always here for you. Even during school, my office will always be open for you."

"Thank you Remus." I say with a genuine smile.

That's another thing, I hardly ever cry. I had cried so much when I found out my parents weren't coming back for me that well I just don't. Remus says it's because I'm mature for my age? Or it's just going through that ordeal, I don't know.

"Now lets go! It's gonna be an awesome school year, Professor!" I say and we both start laughing.

He grabs a hold of my trunk and I have my broom and Nico in my arms while he loops his arm through mine and we are instantly spinning on the spot.

It ends as quick as it started and I didn't get sick this time! I find myself in a room with only one bed and look questionly at Moony and while he laughs at my expression.

"I'm going to have to leave you here under the watch of the Weasley's, I have to be at Hogworts early. Teacher stuff." My grin got bigger knowing I'm going to be staying the rest of my summer with my two amazing friends!

He saw my giant smile and I could tell he knew I would get in trouble haha.

"Try not to cause too much trouble for Molly."

"Me? Never!" I gasp in mock hurt.

"Please when you get with those twins you're as bad as Sirius and James used to be." I knew Moony, my dad, and uncle James were prankster back in their day.

"Again Moony I take that as a compliment!" I smiled at him as he just chuckles and kisses my forehead.

"Be good Paws, I'll see you when school starts."

"Bye Moony." I say giving him one last hug as he apperates away. Well might as well go and find my favorite ginger family!
