Goodness I am so sorry this has taken me so long to update! I've been swamped with work and has a bit of writers block. But it's here! Hope you like it! :)

The next morning we barely wake with enough time to get breakfast before classes start. Transfiguring my outfit to a new one, I smile at Fred as he comes closer, kissing me softly.

"I would say I'm sorry for acting the way I did last night, but I'd be lying." He says with a wink and a mischievous smile.

"Well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy your change of character." I say with a smirk as I head toward the door.

"I'll have to remember that." He murmurs into my neck leaving a kiss that makes me shiver.

Quickly leaving the room, we head down to get a bit of food and our new time tables. Sitting in our usual spots, I feel holes being burned into my skull. Looking up I see a smirking George, who is barely containing whatever remark he has ready about our whereabouts last night.

"What Georgie?" His smile widens and now I wish I just ignored him.

"You have a good night last night?"

He's such a prat.. I can feel Fred shake with laughter and I nudge him slightly. So with a smirk, I think of a response to shut him up.

"One of the best. We – well you wouldn't know about that would you Georgie?"

I say, my evil smirk widening. Fred begins laughing out loud, almost to the point of crying, while George's face drops slightly before his smirk returns.

"I think I have a pretty good idea of how things went."

He simply says holding eye contact, while he starts rubbing at his neck obviously. I simply raise an eyebrow at him, not sure where we was going with that, but this just makes his grin grow.

"You missed a spot, well spots, with your transfiguration spell."

He simply states with his hand still on his neck, realization slowly dawning on me. My eyes widen in horror as I realize my v-neck t-shirt shows full view of all the lovebites Fred left on me last night.

He begins to laugh at my expression, Lee shortly joining in. With a glare at my friend I conjure (thanks to that magik book) a scarf that will cover all the exposed marks.

The git continues to giggle at me so I throw a biscuit at his face making us all laugh before we head to our classes. First is Advanced Transfiguration, one of my best classes, and when the four of us arrive we grab our seats at the back of the small class.

"Good morning and welcome to N.E.W.T. Level Transfiguration. This year you will be learning things not covered in previous years, that take certain skill and patience. This is because these topics are strictly monitored by the Ministry and they also have physical and legal consequences if used or practiced incorrectly. The topics we will cover will be Conjuring and later, Untransfiguration." McGonagall begins and we quickly dive right in.

After lunch we waste as much time as possible before heading to DADA, as none of us are excited to spend the class with the deranged toad. We claim our seats in the back, just in time for the class to start.

"Good afternoon children and welcome to your N.E.W.T. Level defense class. It has been brought to my attention that your previous teachings in this subject have been terribly scrambled."

Suddenly thick books begin floating to each of us, confusing us as to why we need books in the first place..? This is our last year, we should practicing what we know.

"You'll be pleased to know that, this class will now be following a Ministry-approved course for final year students."

She says with her sickly sweet smile and once we realize we won't be using magic, Katie is brave enough to raise her hand and ask why.

"So we aren't using defensive spells?" This makes the toad giggle.

"I don't see why you'd have to use spells in my classroom. You'll learn defensive spells in a risk-free environment." Not being able to hold my tongue, my hand shoots up but I don't wait for her to call on me.

"Correct me if I'm wrong Professor, but for our exams we need to perform these defensive spells, because let's be honest, nothing is ever risk-free." I see her smile tighten–if that's even possible, and her face reddens slightly.

"Miss Black is it?" I simply nod, not missing the venom she put into my name.

"The Ministry believes that knowledge of these spells, and those you've learned before, will be enough to get you all through your final exams."

"Yes, but what happens when we get out there? Apply for jobs. How will we protect ourselves? Definitely those of us who want to be Aurors?"

"Dear, there is nothing to worry about. No one is going to attack children—"

"Well except Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters."

When people told me I have my fathers temper, I believed them, but when they told me I have his ability to shut my mouth when necessary, I see what they're talking about. Us Blacks always say what we think.

She stiffens at my statement, her fake smile slipping from her face and her true character revealed.

"Now. I'm only going to say this once. You've been told that a certain dark wizard is at large again. This. Is. A. Lie."

"It's not a lie. Harry saw him. Fought him!"

Her face turns a lovely shade of purple and before I can say anymore, Fred places a firm hand on my leg and squeezes gently. Thus warning me to shut up.

"Mr. Potter was delusional in his grief." Another squeeze, harder this time as he sees me clench my fists in anger.

"He had just seen a fellow student die in a terrible accident. His mind simply couldn't handle the truth of it. Now, no more talk of this nonsense and begin chapter one. No talking will be necessary."

Her fake smile reappears and as we all glance at each other, and with Fred's soothing hand in my leg, we all begin our reading.
