Dancing Away With My Heart

*Ello! So you might have noticed I added the song, I've been listening to Ed lately and thought it goes so well with this chapter! I think I might make it Fred and Evelyn's song! :) Enjoy*

Walking down the stairs to the Great Hall, my nerves start to get the best of me. Even though Fred and I have been together for over a year, this makes me nervous, but a good nervous I guess.

We finally get to the last staircase, Alicia and Katie going first, both giving me a wink of encouragement. Myself taking a deep breath before heading down.

As I turn the corner, I see Fred talking with Katie until both George and Lee smack his arms as they both get a full look at me. Fred turns to yell at them, when George points my way.

Fred looks my way and just stops. His mouth drops and eyes widen making me blush as I reach the last couple stairs. George pushes him in my direction, snapping him from his trance.

"Wow Evelyn....you look–wow. You look gorgeous." He stumbles put making me blush and laugh.

"Thank you. You clean up nicely Freddie." I say with a smile making him laugh, getting rid of the tension that was there.

"Why thank you Love. Shall we go in?"

"Indeed we shall." I say with a smile as he offers me his arm, linking my arm with his we head inside.

Once inside, my breath is taken away at how beautiful the Great Hall has been decorated. From the giant Christmas trees to glistening icicles along the wall, it's like the ultimate Christmas-winter paradise.

The professors greet us all and make us stand on either side of the Great Hall to await the champions arrivals. I guess it's part of the tradition that they've got to start the first dance.

Fred wraps an arm around my waist, and I lean into him comfortably as we start chatting with everyone before it all begins.

"Who would've thought, Hogwarts having a ball." Katie says as her and Lee rejoin our group.

"I know right? I think it's a wonderful idea."

Alicia says from George's side, making me smile at how cute those two look together. I catch George's eye giving him a smirk, watching him blush and mouth "Shut up" in my direction.

Suddenly the band starts to play and we look towards the door to see the Champions and their dates coming in through the doors. As Harry passes, we make eye contact and I wink in encouragement which makes him smile and not look as nervous.

They start dancing to the music, poor Harry stepping on the feet of his date already...

"May I have this dance?" Fred asks extending a hand towards me, which I gracefully take.

"It'd be an honor." I say with a smile that matches his.

He pulls me onto the dance floor, placing our hands where they should be, he leads me into a waltz. Our eyes never leaving one another, making it feel like we're the only ones here, and that everything's going to be okay.

"You really do look amazing tonight Evey." He says while he draws me close, whispering in my ear.

We dance for a little while longer before heading towards the tables to get a drink and relax for a bit. As Fred goes to get drinks, Alicia plops down beside me at the table.

"How's your night going Evey?" She asks with a giant grin on her face.

"It's amazing. How's yours with George?" I say wiggling my eyebrows making her giggle.
