*Gah! Sorry this is so damn late guys!! I'm trying to get better with updating, but writers block is a bitch! Thank you all for hanging in there and waiting on me. I promise I'll get better!

"Happy Christmas!"

I jump awake from the loud exclamation to see a smug ginger smiling from the side of my bed. I simply glare at her before covering my face in the duvet.

"C'mon Evelyn its Christmas!"

"So I've heard.." I mutter, muffled under the covers.

"Just how late were you and Fred up last night?" She asks, wiggling her eyebrows slightly, making me chuck my pillow at her.

"Aw, now I don't have a pillow..." Glaring at Ginny as she simply giggles.

"And for your information we went to bed at a decent time, I was just up with a strange dream most of the night."

I say vaguely remembering the dark halls leading to snow globes? And some kind of vail-looking thing? I don't know, it was strange.

"Well, don't worry about that now. Mum's making breakfast and it's Christmas!"

"Okay, okay. I'm up, you win." I say with a chuckle sitting up and attempting to tame my curls in a messy bun.

She jumps off my bed, throwing a pair of pajama pants my way when she notices I'm only in one of Fred's shirts. I chuckle lightly as we make our way to the hall.

"Morning Love." An arm finds its way around my waist, with a kiss on my temple.

"I like your shirt." He says with a wiggle of his brows, and I hear Ginny groan making me laugh.

"You two are impossible." She mumbles as we follow her down the stairs, the enticing scent of breakfast filling our senses.

Breakfast moves quickly, a joyous mood surrounding us all. Arthur and Molly laugh and lovingly look over each of us. Remus and Sirius banter back and forth, making myself smile at the innocence of it. And us kids, tell jokes, the twins pick on Ron, and it seems life is going to get better. Our worries seem far behind us.

"Alright you lot, help me clean this up and we can all go into the sitting room." Molly says looking toward us kids, as the others head into the other room.

Quickly getting the chore done, we can hardly contain our excitement for the gifts that await us. I begin to get nervous, knowing what will happen later, but I'm also excited for this new chapter.

We go around and everyone opens a present, one at a time and the suspense is killing everyone. Once everyone has finished, Fred nudges me with his elbow and I turn to him wide eyed. Slightly regretting our decision to drop this bomb now, I slightly shake my head.

"There seems to be one more gift." Fred says with that damn smirk, as everyone quiets down and all eyes rest on him.

George gets this very big grin on his face, of course he would know what's coming, but jokes on him. Fred runs his hands down the front of his sweater, getting nervous, and extends a hand to myself. Taking a deep breath I take his hand, sending him a smile as I stand by his side.

My hand tightens around his in comfort as I look around the room and only Remus and Tonks seem to have a knowing glint of what's happening.

"Well, I had a better way to say this in my head, I guess we'll see how this goes." He says and I can't hold back the laugh, causing him to playfully glare at me.

"As you all know, this girl right here, I love more than anything in this world. And after a lot of deliberation, but not a whole lot," he says with a smirk making everyone laugh.

"And a couple of um, intense conversations with Sirius and Remus." More laughter, and smirks from my fathers. "They've found me worthy, and I get the upmost pleasure to marry this woman at my side." He smiles down at me, and I feel the butterflies erupt.

Almost immediately the room erupts into cheers, and some squealing from Ginny. Molly quickly gets to her feet, squishing the both of us in her signature hug.

"I knew it was only a matter of time! Oh I'm so happy for the both of you!" She places a kiss on both of our cheeks making me laugh at Fred's unsuspecting face.

"Alright Molly, you don't want to suffocate the before they can even get married." Dad says with a wide grin as he stands behind her. She releases her hold, only for Dad to bring me into a tight hug.

"I'm so happy for you sweetheart. You're mother would be so proud of you." He says pulling back a bit to look at me with tears in his eyes.

"Thank you Dad. I love you."

"As I love you sweetheart."

He then passes me into Remus' arms, and he actually rubs it in Dad's face that he knew before Fred even announced it, the two of them bickering shortly.

"I wanna see the ring Evelyn!" Ginny shouts as she goes to reach for my left hand. I lift it to show her and everyone else, and they seem stunned.

"Fred–"

From her tone I knew Molly was going to chastise him for spending so much money. That was until Arthur brought her into an embrace, and she soon smiled instead.

"Oh it's absolutely gorgeous! Who knew my brother had such good taste!" Ginny says making me chuckle as Fred fakes being hurt.

"You should know sister, that I'm full of surprises." He says with an eyebrow wiggle, gaining a smack in the gut from me and a look of disgust from Gin.

"Wait. When did you ask her? Last I knew you were going to do it today?" George asks from his seat by Fred.

"It was a week ago, after we left St. Mungo's actually." It makes me laugh at everyone's shocked faces, Fred and I smirking at each other.

"I was truly surprised, none of you noticed sooner. I've been wearing this since then."

"You see, we had a bet going on who would notice. I thought George for sure, since he knew about my plan."

"And I had my money on Ginny. But in the end, Tonks noticed it last night when they arrived for dinner."

"What can I say, I always notice the little things." She says with a grin making us all laugh.

The rest of the night is spent in laughter, telling of stories, and loving gestures passed between Fred and I. As I look around at our family, I realize how lucky I am to have all these people in my life. And even though things might get tough, we'll be there for each other, always and forever.
