*Yay I'm back! Camping was amazing, so nice to just get away for a bit! Here's a nice long chapter for all you amazing readers! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! :)
"So where are we headed?" I ask as Remus and I walk out of King's Cross.
"Actually downtown London." He says with a smirk at my confused look. He says nothing else as we walk down the way.
Walking the streets of Muggle London was a strange feeling. Some of them looked at us funny especially since I was still carrying my trunks.
"Did we move again Moony?" I ask as he helps me pull my trunk across the cobblestone streets.
"No Paws, this is just temporary, well for the summer that is. But you could stay if you want." This only makes me more confused as we stop in front of a dingy, old apartment building.
"Grimmauld Place?"
Remus just winks, looks both ways before flourishing his wand. Suddenly two of the buildings begin to rumble and shake, moving apart to reveal another–darkened building.
I just stare in awe, not expecting that at all. Remus starts in the direction of this mysterious building and I run to catch up with him.
"Remus! What is this place?" I ask as we reach the front door of number 12.
"This is where we'll be staying for the summer." He says opening the door into a dark and gloomy, not very welcoming entryway.
Spiderwebs hang around the lamps on the walls and tables. It looks like no one has lived here in ages. Out of nowhere, and old cranky elf crosses in front of us, gasping at the sight of us.
"How dare... Mistress would be so disgraced. Filthy half-breed with the traitor's daughter. So much dishonor to the once noble House of Black."
"Excuse me? What did you just say?" I glare at the nasty little elf as he cowers back.
"Paws, it's not worth it. He won't change what he was taught." Remus gently grabs my arm to keep me from hurting the nasty thing.
"Vile girl. Thinks she knows... Mistress would never allow—"
"Kreature! That's enough of your bile." A familiar voice rings out from down the hall, and the elf scurries back into the darkness.
"Sorry about him. He's been nasty ever since I was a boy. Never liked me much." The voice continues and out of the darkness, my father steps into the dim lighting.
"Dad!" I exclaim, dropping my trunk and running up to my much-healthier looking dad, getting wrapped in his famous bear hug.
"Hey Baby Girl! My goodness look at you!" He pulls back to like me over, with what looks like tears in his eyes.
"I'm sorry it's been so long again... It's just been so hard to find a stable–safe place to stay and have you come."
"It's okay Dad. Honestly. We have all summer–"
"And many more to come." He says with a smile and another hug.
"So what exactly is this place?" I ask as we walk into the living room area, my trunks forgotten at the door.
"This my dear, is The Noble House of Black." Dad says with a scoff, plopping on an old armchair by the fire.
"You lived here?" I ask sitting next to my father now curious about his younger years.
