"Is Alicia coming in today?" I ask with a smirk at George, as I grab tea from the kitchen.

"You're not going to let up are you?" He says with an exasperated sigh, making me smile wider.

"You should know by now Georgie. I'm only gonna bug ya til I get answers."

"It's true mate. You know how relentless she can get." Fred says leaving a kiss on my temple as he takes the tea from my hand. Causing me to send a playful glare towards my husband.

"No, no. I don't think so." I say taking my cup back as he fusses. "And it's only cuz I care, George. And I wanna see my two friends finally happy."

"Well I appreciate it Evey, but really, I already have Mum asking when I'm going to ask Alicia to marry me.. Thank you, by the way." He runs a hand over his face as I giggle slightly.

"Wait, are you going to ask her?" When I'm met with an exhausted look, I backpedal a bit. "I mean, eventually." Sitting next to him, waiting excitedly for his answer.

"I mean yeah..I think so. Maybe? We haven't really even spoken about anything in the future." Fred looks to his twin with a giant grin on his face, before winking at me, the two of us knowing he'll ask her.

"Don't worry George, we all know she'll say yes in a heart beat." Fred clasps a hand on George's back as he gets up from our little table in the flat.

"Let's just go open the shop yeah?" He clears his throat before heading toward the door, Fred and I sniggering behind him.

We lock the flat before heading downstairs, and I smile as I see Alicia standing outside the shop, smiling as she sees us. I skip ahead of the boys and proceed to let her in, and quickly wrapping her in a hug.

"How was the honeymoon?" She says with a wiggle of her eyebrows, making me flush slightly, but I ignore it with a smile.

"It was wonderful. It was nice to get away for a while." She raises a brow causing me to giggle and flush a bit darker.

"You're going to fill me in—"

"What is it with you lot wanting to know everything?" I say as she laughs, the boys looking at us in question.

"That's what girlfriends are for my dear Evelyn."

"Remind me why I'm friends with you again?" I say with a raised brow and she just laughs again, as I just shake my head.

A few hours into the shift, Alicia and I are restocking when she suddenly nudges my arm. Looking at her with a raised brow she nods her head towards the counter where I see Fred helping a customer. A very pretty customer... I can see from my spot, that's he's becoming frustrated and just wants to finish the sale. So with a sassy look back at Alicia and her laugh in response, I decide to save my husband from the uncomfortable situation.

"Everything alright over here dear?" I say with a smile as I see him visibly relax, not missing the nasty look from the customer.

"Maybe you can help us out Love." He says with a smile, thankfulness floating in his eyes. I turn my attention to the fuming customer with an overly sweet smile.

"What is it you need help with today?" I feel a slight nudge on the side of my leg, be nice, is the message from Fred but it only makes my smile widen.

"I was just wondering if you guys had anything for Valentines Day?" She asks before batting her eyelashes at Fred.

"We don't. Sorry. This is a joke shop, not a tea shop. Maybe the tea emporium down the way can help you." I say with a smile but my eyes narrow slightly letting her know, I won't be so nice the next time.

"Right." She says finally noticing the rings on both our hands and she backs away from the counter. "Thanks for your help." As she leaves through the double doors, I let out a scoff I had held back and Fred begins to laugh.

"Oh of course you'd think it's all funny." I mumble rolling my eyes and heading back to the selves.

"Wait, Eve!" He's says between a laugh following me down the aisle I've began stocking again.

"You were awfully nice back there." I give him an exasperated look, as he holds back more giggles.

"Oh c'mon, Love. She has harmless—"

"She—She was not harmless Fred Weasley." I lower my voice as customers walk by the aisle we're in, my eyes narrowing at how thick he can be sometimes..

"She was blatantly flirting with you. Why else would she come into a joke shop looking for Valentine's Day stuff. Please."

I roll my eyes with another scoff as I place a Skiving Snackbox on the shelf a little too hard. When there's no response I look over to see Fred just looking at me, an emotion drifting in his eyes that I can't quite place.

"What?"

"You know you're sexy when you're feisty."

"Fred I'm serious—" I roll my eyes, not believing he's doing this now..

"So am I." I just look at him and sigh, shaking my head.

"But you aren't listening.." I trail off, not wanting to fight over something as stupid as this, but can't help the jealousy rising in my chest.

"I hear you Love. Loud and clear. But it seems you aren't listening either."

I open my mouth to object and he simply silenced me with a finger, bringing me into the back room away from prying eyes.

"How many times must I tell you, Evelyn Weasley, that I am yours, and yours alone. I say this girl was harmless because she was. I've only ever had eyes for you, and that's not suddenly going to change. I love you darling, but I can't keep getting into these petty arguments with you, because you can't seem to believe the truth I'm telling you."

He sighs running a hand through his hair as my blood turns to ice, all the air seeming to leave my lungs, as I expect what his next words will be.

"Let's—lets just talk after we close up alright? We'll get through the day, and then we'll figure things out."

He says as I feebly nod, and he leaves me in the back room surrounded by the thoughts swirling in my head, and the emotions begging to overwhelm me.
