Everyone thinks love hurts, but if we put it in a more rational way the truth hurts more. When you give people power over you, their words hurt you more. It is so easy to live in a delusional state, but to come out of it, it's the most burdensome job for a person. People tend to forget at times, the truth is always hidden behind a mask, which when unshielded, either it joins you or breaks you apart.

Raisha's life might be a rollercoaster one, but the irony wasn't lost that the child in her was long lost in the miseries of her life. Her resolve to stay in her own house was weakening with each passing day. And who can she even blame? Herself or her unconditional love for her family. In spite of everything they said or did, she still hasn't reached her saturation point yet, where she will give up finally and accept the truth that they were never going to love her back in this life.

She was supposed to be preparing for her finals of class seventh, but instead, she was worried about her own life. Her feelings for Aayush kept on increasing, and she realized it that he meant more to her than she could ever put it in words. But the fate was twisted, if she thought that he was with her for one moment, he proved her wrong the next second by again acting distant and closed. But still, her heart never stopped looking in those deep brown orbs, which were so captivating that they held power to even melt a glacier.

She was sitting in her room with Maths book in her hand trying to solve an algebra problem, but all she could think was of herself and her troubled life. She just started writing down, when someone barged in her room and yelled "You ungrateful bitch, how dare you tell Maam that I copied the exam from my friend?"

Raisha looked at Ekta to see her raging with fire, but she wasn't scared. "I didn't tell her, she saw you doing it "she replied back confidently looking straight in her eyes. "You bloody sympathetic bitch "she yelled and threw a heavy book on Raisha's swelled feet making her wince in pain. "Aaahhhh".

Tears welled up in that innocent child's eyes, as she looked at her cousin smirking at her. "This is what you are! An incapable and disabled girl, who can't bear even a small weight", she remarked smiling pointing one index finger to Raisha's body.

Raisha flinched at her tone and looked away from her and she left her room banging the door. She sighed and wiped off her eyes, as she looked at the closed door. She wondered what wrong did she even do to these people to deserve such treatment from them? But letting go of her thoughts soon, as she needed to concentrate on her books.

"How were your exams? "Aayush asked her at the last day of their exam. She stared at him to see for any sort of mocking or sarcasm, but not finding anything she replied in a low voice "They were fine ". Aayush nodded and went away as she stared at his retreating back. He only talked to her when necessary and for the rest of the time, he acted as if she wasn't even there. But she never thought of him like others, because he hasn't done anything to make her even think like that.

"So you didn't top this time? "Aayush asked her on the first day of Eight standards. She can't believe that time was flying so fast in these painful environments, that two years have already passed since her life turned upside down. The warmth she had felt once in her family was long gone. Her entire family was against her parents. Every day, one or other fight occurs because of her and she is name called and accused of things she can never say.

She looked at Aayush, to see him having a serious look on his face and replied "Does it matter that I didn't top? I came second and you came first. You settled your scores with me for class 6 right! " Aayush shook his head at her answer and walked off. This year, he was sitting with Ekta it seems.

"Baby, do you wanna go out? "Raj asked her one Sunday, seeing her sitting lost in her thoughts. He and Nivedita tried their best, to convince her to shift to other house, but they didn't know why she was being this difficult? Every Sunday in these two years, he had tried to take her out, but her response was same "No".
