Our love was strong.
The current of the ocean
Wasn't enough to pull us apart. Our love was solid.
Like the rocks at the bottom of the sea,
They spoke little words that called to me.Our love was high.
Like the wave at its tallest peak.
Even then we didn't crash. Our love was inseparable.
Like a starfish and its rock,
We clung together and never did not.Our love was changing.
Like a tide in the night,
When the pale moon brought the fight. Our love was weak.
Like sailors in a storm,
We let the current control us.Our love was liquid.
Losing its shape,
It could no longer be contained. Our love was low.
Like the waves against the shore,
We began to crash and fall apart. Our love was breaking.
Like shells forgotten in the sand,
Together, we let go of our hands. Our love was waiting to be found.
Buried in the ocean sands,
Waiting for the tidal wave to return what we have lost.
