I saw him today,
Smiling with a girl that I never really knew.
He never said hello,
Or asked me how I've been.
He treated me like no one,
Not even an old friend.
I turned away and frowned,
Not sure of what to do.
I tried my hardest not to cry.
But as usual, a tear or two slipped by.
He doesn't care,
He never has.
To him I'm just a waste.
A waste of space and time and air.
But that's just how love is;
Corrupt and unfair.

I saw her today.
She looked at me and frowned.
Maybe I should go over,
And simply just say hi.
But she turned away with nothing to say.
I tried to move on,
But now she's gone,
Her heart probably shattered too.
But when I said the things I did,
We both knew they were true.
I just didn't think it would come back
And eventually hurt me too.
