It was always easy -
Loving her when she was naked.
But what about the rest of her?
The scars, the cuts, the bruises,
Made her hard to love.
They didn't put him at ease.
So he left, walked out the door
And left behind the keys.It was always easy -
Loving her when she was happy.
But what about when she was down?
The tears, the long nights, the misunderstanding.
It made it hard for him to sleep.
So he left her in her tears,
And saved the comfort for another year.It was always easy -
Loving her when she solved the problem.
But what about when she was stuck?
The frustration, the impatience, the fights.
It didn't help him out.
So he pushed back the problem
Knowing that she would fix it one day, without a doubt. It was always easy -
Loving her when she was around.
But what about when she was away?
With her family, friends, and team?
He didn't fully trust her,
Even though he already knew:
She trusted him more than their trust put in two. It's always easy -
To love when nothing is wrong.
But what about when things go bad?
Who will be there for who?
Will there be one person or two?
And if only one stops to help,
Then it's too late; your love is doomed.
