Hearts can be broken
Just as easily as bones.Hearts can be useless
Just like an old children's toy.Hearts can be shattered
Just like glass.Hearts can beat
As slow as death.Hearts can race
As fast as life.Hearts are fragile
Just like a box of china. That's what everyone seems to forget.
Hearts are more brittle than bones.
The damage is not noticeable,
It lives on the inside. For when the heart breaks,
So does the mind.
And nobody notices
Because the pain blends into everything
After all the stages
Of heartache and time.
