The problem wasn't that he didn't love her,
But that he didn't love everything.
He only fell for the flower,
Not the roots. The problem wasn't that she didn't listen to him,
But that she didn't understand.
She wrote down the notes,
But didn't pay attention to the lesson. The problem wasn't that he didn't try,
But that she didn't accept it.
He cut down a pine tree,
But he only used a hand saw.The problem wasn't that she didn't give it to him,
But that she tried too much.
She sacrificed herself,
Without knowing what she was giving it up for. There's two in a relationship.
And things go both ways.
For it's both his fault
And her fault. For when you're together,
You should be one.

So in my freshman seminar class we are doing our relationship unit. And I was like hey, why not write about relationships? So here it is, a poem about relationships. There probably will be more to come, so enjoy :)
Thanks,
Alyssa
