In the beginning
It was so small,
That it was unnoticeable.
It was a second long glance in the hallway
And somehow I was hooked.
Within a small amount of time
It began to grow,
And became overwhelming.
It became a daily routine to see you
And somehow I let it happen.
In over a week
It became a crush,
Just like a full-blown hurricane.
I needed something to protect myself,
But I was already in the middle of the storm.
It was only on occasion
Where we talked about the little things,
Still they were so important.
I didn't want to come on too strong or predictable,
But I already became attached.
Now I'm left here waiting,
In a place where I imagine more.
It isn't healthy; it isn't helping.
I can't make up my mind on what to do,
I only hope that you want me too.
