Angel has a daughter. I couldn't believe my eyes. Why do I feel like my heart tearing into pieces? Whether she got a daughter or not, what does it matter to me?
I saw her pain filled eyes glittered in happiness seeing her daughter. I understood that her daughter is her only happiness.
I went to sleep with heavy heart. I'm rolling on my bed without sleep. I opened the window and saw Angel's room opposite to mine. Today also lights in her room is not switched off.
Third person's POV
Next day, the medical camp started with the regular health check up for the children. They did the weight check, calculated the body mass index, temperature and skin infections were noted for each child.
Even though Dave did all those check ups for the children, he was not doing it from his heart.
He was looking at Angel often although he didn't want to think about her knowing that she has a daughter.
Dave's POV
Angel brought Ria also for the check up. She was holding Ria within her arms because Ria started crying looking at me.
I felt bad when she cried at me like I'm some ghost, that too in front of Angel. I wanted to make her smile at me. I gave Ria a chocolate since that is always an easy way to attract a child.
Ria first hesitated and then grabbed the chocolate from my hand. I caressed her hair and her cheeks. Because of the chocolate's magic, Ria jumped from Angel's hold to me.
I took Ria in my hands. This is the first time I'm holding a child in my hands. In spite of treating children the past two years, I have never hold a child in my hands.
Ria liked me I think. She leaned towards me and kissed my cheek. That kiss gave me a different feel which I couldn't explain.
"Ria baby.. Come to mommy. Let Doctor do the check ups for you. " Angel called Ria to her.
But Ria tugged her little hands around my neck tightly not wanting to leave me. So Angel pulled her from me. When she was pulling Ria, Angel's hand brushed mine lightly.
That slight touch of her skin brought sparkles over my heart. I haven't felt this way with any other girl.
What's happening to you Dave?? Come on. She doesn't match you. You're a Doctor and she is just some random girl from an orphanage. You cannot fall for an orphan girl Davethattooshe has adaughter.
"Dr. Prince. " I turned back hearing a sweet childish voice. Huh!! There's that South African girl. I forgot her name.
" Do you remember me Dr. Prince? I'm Vuyo" Can she read my mind?
" Enough talking. Let's start the check up. " I didn't like to have a conversation with her.
" OK Dr. Prince. We will start. Don't give me injections. I'm afraid of that. " she really seemed afraid. Of course who will like injections.
" If you're not going to shut your mouth, I'll give you injection. " she automatically shut her mouth. I'm happy that I've got a weak point of her.

Angel was staring at me when I said that to Vuyo. Actually not just staring, she was firing bullets at me. She came straight to me in anger.
" Hey you.. You're a Doctor, right?" She again started raising her voice.
" Can't you see me wearing white apron and stethoscope around my neck? Am I not looking like a Doctor? Yes right, I understand. Since you're brought up in an orphanage, you would have not explored the outside world. And may be, you've not seen a Doctor before? "
I just hate her whenever she shouts at me, that too now before others.
" I have seen Doctors before but not a Doctor like you. First learn how to behave to others, that too to these innocent children. Vuyo likes you very much. Can't you even show a little concern over this child? "
Angel kept on lecturing to me how to behave and how not to behave.
" You just stop your bloody lecturing. Have you gone to a college? Have you even finished your school? First go and explore the world outside this home. Then come and preach me. "
I succeeded in closing her mouth. She left the place giving me a final angry look. I knew she was hurt by my words.
How could she talk to me like this? I have no other way to close her mouth. I really feel sorry for doing this to her.
Third person's POV
She was dragged to a wild forest by some unknown man. She was screaming for help. Her throat went dry in screaming.
She heard more people approaching her. There she saw a known face. He was walking towards her with an evil smile.
Angel was shouting at him.
Dave's POV
I heard someone screaming at night. I woke up , came out of the room and looked around to find from where I'm hearing that scream.
The screaming is from Angel's room. I rushed to her room. At the same time, Sr. Neoline also came running to Angel's room.
Sr. Neoline opened Angel's room door which was unlocked. I went in along with Sr. Neoline. Angel was screaming in her sleep. May be she have gone through some bad dream.
Hearing her scream, Ria woke up in fear and started crying. Sr. Neoline asked me to take care of Ria. I took Ria in my arms and consoled her.
Sr. Neoline sat near Angel and caressed her hair and made her calm.
" Go away.. Go away.." Angel was shouting with her eyelids closed. Her face was sweaty.
Sr. Neoline consoled her, talked to her and calmed her.
" Doctor Dave. Can you do me a favor? " Sr. Neoline asked me.
" Yes sure Sr. " I told her.
" Please take Ria with you. Let her sleep with you tonight. I'll stay with Angel. "
I couldn't say no to her. So I took Ria with me giving a last glance at Angel. I wanted to care her. I wanted to hold her close to my heart. I wanted to say her not to worry.
