The ride home was quick and bumpy and painful as hell but I knew Bruce was trying his best. Bruce carried me to the Infirmary level of the batcave where Alfred was ready to fix me up. Bruce laid me on a table and Alfred began to work.

The old man scanned me with a small xray and he started to type away at a computer. He wrote something down on a piece of paper and he started to fix up the wounds on my face and rest of my body. He had Bruce help take off the Robin suit and he fished out the bullet in my shoulder and patched me up.

A couple hours and almost a dozen stitches later, Alfred finishes up,

"You're very lucky master Thadd," Alfred started to talk to me, "You could have had a collapsed lung or internal bleeding. Your ribs are fine. Only two broken and only a single ome bruised. Avoid physical activity and try not to cough too hard. You'll be on painkillers for the next few weeks."

I heard Bruce grunt from to corner, I moved my head to look over at him and saw that he was still in the batsuit, his cowl was no where to be seen.

Bruce and Alfred talked for a while and my sleepiness took over. I laid my head back in the hospital bed and fell asleep.

Its been a few days since my incident. Bruce has a apologized up and down for letting this happen to me. Sure I'm pissed but I'm still alive. To make up for what happened, Bruce said he would take me to go get some new clothes or maybe a haircut. I personally just wanted to go get some good ass food but the other two work just as fine.

Bruce pulled into the drive way of the Wayne Mansion and Dick was waiting by the door. There was a cool breeze and the sun was about to set. We got out and Dick walked over to us. He shook Bruce's hand and walked over to me. He shook my hand too for some reason, which was weird we usually jusy greet each other with a hello. When he pulled away from the hand shake, I noticed it wasn't just some random handshake, he slipped me a piece of paper. I put the piece of paper in my pocket and followed Bruce and Dick inside.

Alfred greeted the three of us. The three of us had a small conversation but then I excused myself to my room. I hung up all my new clothes in my closest and put on the "I'm sorry I almost got you killed" wrist watch that Bruce gotten me. I went into my personal bathroom and splashed some water on my face. I dried my face with a towl and looked a the note Dick slipped me:

'Meet me in the batcave at 12:21 am, it's important.
-Dick Grayson'

It was a simple but confusing note. What did he want? Why did it have to be so late? I crumpled up the note and threw it in the trash and finished getting dressed.

I walked out to join Bruce, Dick, and Alfred but by the time I got out, Dick and Alfred were gone. When Bruce saw me walk down the hall, he stood up,

"Warner, we need to talk." He said motioning me to sit down in the chair that was in front of him.

"Okay.. what do you want to talk about?" I asked, sitting down. I knew what he was going to say but I hoped he didn't say it.

"It's about the other night.. it was my fault. I wasn't there to back you up."

"Youve told me this a million times.. Where did you go?" I asked,

"I was alerted that the batmobile was being attacked. I went out and dealt with the problem, and when I came back into the bank, you were gone."

"How did you find me?"

"My friend, Selina Kyle, and Dick helped me locate you. It would have been harder if I didn't have a built in tracking device in your suit."

I nodded, I didn't know what to say. That small little tracking device probably saved my life, "uhm, is that all you wanted to talk about?" I asked, hoping he would say yes.

"No, I think taking you out with me was a big mistake, I don't think you are fit to be Robin."

I stood up, I was angry and sad. I didn't care if i almost died, I still wanted to do this. He didnt give me enough training. I was going to protest but I sighed and nodded, "if that's what you think is best, then I won't be Robin anymore."

He nodded and i started to walk away, "Warner," He called out to me and I stopped and turned around. "I want you to keep the mask." He reached into his pocket and handed me the Boy Wonder mask.

I took it, unsure why he gave it to me. I continued walking and put the mask unto my pocket. I thought he left this thing behind. I walked to the big grandfather clock that was in Bruce's office. The time read 8:32 pm so I thought I would just wait in the bat cave until Dick got here. I adjusted the chimes and the door opened up.

I walked down the passage way, looking down at the mask,

"Just got to wait 4 hours until Dick gets here," I muttered to myself, "4 hours isn't that long." I sighed and continued to walk down the dimly lit, cold passage way.
