Sophia pulled her small figure up into the rafts and glanced down. Her long, brown hair swayed behind her, it pulled up in a pony tail. She ran across the rafts, her black jacket and jeans, keeping her hidden in the shadows. A voice sounded through her earpiece.

"All set. Ready when you are," her teammate, Iris said.

"Almost into place," she whispered back. She grabbed hold of a raft and swung herself onto the lower levels. She landed in front of a guy her age, and recognized him as someone in her class. Before he had a chance to say anything, she punched him in the stomach, knocking him out. She ran past him and slid through the door. She glanced inside the room, and sent a small sound into her headpiece, sending off the signal. All at once, her team barged into the room. They were instantly met with a counter attack.

Sophia spotted Iris's pink hair. Sophia ducked under a knife thrust, and kicked under the guy's chin, knocking him back into a girl. Sophia spun out of the way of a bullet and grabbed one from the pocket of the enemy. She grabbed one of the enemy and threw him into the shooter. She, in return, shot them both. One was in the back, and the other was in the arm. She noticed one person about to jump Iris, and she pointed the gun at him. She pulled the trigger, but nothing happened. She growled and threw the gun hard, hitting the guy in the head with it.

"Sophia, grab the document on the desk!" Iris shouted and Sophia nodded and caught someone's wrist from them throwing a punch at her. Sophia kicked her foot out from under her, and as she fell, Sophia kneed her in the stomach and threw her to the side. She ran toward the desk and reached out to grab the document. Her wrist was grabbed, and she looked up to see her friend, Zander. She smirked and kicked up toward his head. He let go of her wrist and ducked. He went to sweep her legs out from under her, and she jumped high into the air.

She flipped forward and kicked down towards his head. He caught her, her back facing him. He went to slam her head first into the ground, and she pressed her hands against the ground and wrapped her legs around his neck. She flipped him onto his stomach and unwrapped her legs. She flipped into a standing position and grabbed the documents. She seen seven guns pointed at her, and she glanced around. Her and Iris locked eyes and they both nodded. Sophia threw the documents into the air, and all seven people watched the document instead of her. She took the advantage and kicked the closest one in the stomach. They started shooting, and she kicked a chair into another's legs. She took that chance to lunge forward at a fast speed and kick one in the head, sending him into another person. Iris shot two of them and Sophia threw a knife at the last one.

He dodged it, and she caught the documents. She jumped onto the desk and jumped high into the rafters. She jumped over to a couple other rafters, and the guy followed her. She stopped above the floor where, if someone fell, they would probably die. He swung his bo-staff, and she ducked and ran to the side. He ran after her, and she grabbed hold of a pole and swung herself around. She flew over towards him, and kicked him in the face. He flew back and out of the rafters. He hit the floor, hard, and Sophia jumped down. She ran over to Iris and handed her the documents.

"We win," she said with a grin.

"Excellent work," Mr. Adam said as all of the lights flickered on. Everyone in the class stood up, including the ones they had "killed". "That was great, everyone. Sophia, excellent job in leading your team to victory. Class is dismissed." Iris and Sophia began walking out of the class, Zander running to catch up with them.

"That was fun. So, what are you gonna do for the break?" Zander asked and Sophia cast a sideways glance at him.

"I'm going home for a little bit. What about you two?"

"Hmm... I haven't thought much about it," replied Iris thoughtfully as she stroked her chin. "I'll decide later."

"I'll probably stay here," said Zander and Sophia shrugged as they walked down the long corridor, people pushing past them to get to their next classes.

"Team twenty-four, report to the office immediately," a voice sounded through the halls. It echoed and Sophia sighed.

"Looks like that's us. I wonder what they want," Sophia muttered as they turned down the hallway heading towards the office.

"What's the point in calling out team numbers anyway?" Zander asked with a sigh.

"Well, they don't want anyone to know who's on what team. We all have different skill sets and stuff. Don't forget about the mixture of races, either. We Hunters are here to keep the peace between our races," Sophia replied. They came to a stop in front a huge, oak wood door. Sophia stepped forward and pushed it. The door swung open and they walked into the office. As soon as they were all three in the office, the door slammed shut behind them. The floor beneath them opened up and Sophia sighed as they fell through the floor.

"I always hated this part," Iris said as they slid down a slide. They started free falling and three beeps sounded telling them to grab the third pole they passed. They reached the third one, and they all three reached out and caught hold of it. They swung into the hall and continued walking. Sophia slid her hand across the stone walls until they reached a door at the very end. Iris opened it and they walked in.

"Good. You made it," said the headmaster as Iris, Zander, and Sophia took a seat in the vacant, leather chairs.

"What'd you need?" Sophia asked. "You usually don't call on people this close to break."

"Well, your team needs new members. Most teams have up to at least five. Your team only has three, and even so, you're one of the strongest teams," he replied and Sophia nodded.

"No one's caught our interest," she replied with a shrug.

"Well, I want your team to go undercover into a public school in the human world. A boy there, his name is Carter. He is a werewolf, but he knows nothing of it. His mother has been attempting to keep it a secret from him. He has promise. We've been watching him, and we want you to train and recruit him."

"Hang on. His mother must have her reasons for keeping this all a secret from him," said Iris sitting forward.

"His mother was one of the top recruits. And the only reason we're having you do this is because they're moving in on him," he said and Sophia, Zander, and Iris went tense.

"Why are they after him?" Sophia asked.

"When it is time for you to know, you will know," he replied. "You leave tomorrow. Oh, and I forgot to mention, you'll be staying at Sophia's house. Her house is only two miles from the town."

"No wonder you chose us," replied Sophia standing up.

"Meet here first thing in the morning. Ms. Lawson will open the portal for you to get there."

"Yes, sir."

"Here's Carter's file. I want you to memorize everything about it and return it in the morning."

"Okay." Sophia grabbed the file from him.

"Dismissed." Iris, Zander, and Sophia walked out of the room.

The headmaster let out a sigh as he glanced at Sophia, Zander, and Iris's files.

"For being a few Freshmens, they're at the top of their class," said the headmaster.

"Yes, but that won't help them for what's to come. Their team is in danger. The prophecy-"

"I know what the prophecy says!" he snapped at the crystal ball, Ms. Lawson's face in it.

"Don't snap at me. I was just reminding you," she said in a small growl, her face disappearing and her voice fading out.

"That's why I'm trying to get more members on their team," he muttered rubbing his forehead. "The danger they face is unlike any other. I wonder how they'll fair."
