Sophia's eyes fluttered open and the sun shined on her face. She felt a weight on the top of her head and her face turned a light shade of red and her heart fluttered when she realized she had leaned her head on Zeldris when she was asleep. He had laid his head on hers as well. She stayed where she was so she wouldn't wake him.
"You look comfy," Iris whispered and Sophia rolled her eyes.
"This," Sophia motioned to Zeldris leaning his head on her, "was not my fault."
"I know. You looked uncomfortable, so he let you lean on him. Still, I called dibs."
"Still not my fault. Is everyone else still asleep?" Iris nodded. "How long has the sun been up?"
"For about an hour. So, why do you think mister cutie wanted to tag along with Violet?"
"He said it was to meet us."
"I know what he said, but why would someone like him want to meet us?"
"What are you talking about?" Sophia was confused. What did she mean by 'someone like him?'
"You know I can hear every word you two are saying, right?" Zeldris asked and they jumped.
"How long have you been awake?" Sophia asked leaning up and he smirked.
"About the same time you woke up."
"Eavesdropping, huh?" He shrugged.
"Not intentionally. You're the ones who thought I was asleep." He stood up and dusted himself off.
"Looks like everyone's awake," Violet said as she pulled her purple hair up into a ponytail. She had emerald green eyes. She had on a dark green, sleeveless, v-neck shirt, and matching leggings. She had a brown sash tied around her waist, holding a sword. She had on light brown boots and matching gloves.
"Why didn't Desiree tag along?" Sophia asked, picking up her bag.
"She was dealing with a few things when we left," Violet replied. "She did want to come though since its been about a year, going by your time, since she's been in the Fairy Realm.
"It'll be great to see her again," Sophia said as she ripped off the other sleeve to her jacket. Desiree had been apart of their team until she decided to go on leave for a while to study in the Fairy Realm.
"Well, I say we should get going," Zander said, a grin sliding across his face. "She's probably waiting for us."
"He's right," Iris said, smiling. "I think it's time our team get back together."
"All right. Let's go!" Sophia said as she grabbed the side of the mountain.
"What made you decide to join a team full of girls?" Zeldris asked as he climbed next to Zander.
"To make other guys jealous," Zander replied and then laughed. "Not really. That's just a bonus. I joined because they wanted me to. They needed a Technopath, and I just happened to be one."
"You're a Technopath?" Zeldris asked and Zander nodded. "That is really cool. So, you're able to do anything with technology!"
"Not anything but I can do a lot of stuff with technology."
"How long have you guys been a team?"
"We've been friends since we first started school. Sophia was three, Iris was four, and I was almost five, but we were all in the same grade. When Sophia turned ten, she was put in the leader class, classifying her as a leader, so she had to choose who was going to be on her team. On May fourth, it will have been five years since our team was formed."
