"You're what?!" Zander and Sophia asked in shock.

"Hmm? You guys didn't know?" Iris asked innocently and they looked back at her.

"You knew?" they said sending her accusatory glares.

"How could I not?"

"Wait, is that what you meant by 'someone like him' when we were coming here?" Sophia asked and Iris nodded. "That also explains the marks I seen on his face when he was fighting and why that Demon girl that tried to kill us called him prince."

"You can stop talking about me as if I weren't here," he said with an amused grin.

"So, what are you doing here in the Fairy Realm?" Sophia asked locking eyes with him.

"Eh, I just wanted a change of scenery."

"I get the feeling that isn't the whole story, but okay. So, does the Demon clan have something to do with the Shadow Callers?"

"I wish you would stop using that name and can you get out of here!" Warren snapped glaring at Zeldris. Sophia set the book down and grabbed the picture from Zeldris. She sat it on top of the book and took a deep breath.

"Warren, earlier you said I had no idea what I was talking about when I said the books in the Restricted area weren't dangerous. Why did you get so defensive about it? What did you mean?"

Warren's face hardened and the air became thick with tension.

"Sophia, we don't need to pry into the man's past," Zander whispered.

"No. If I remember correctly, his wife and the queen were really good friends, but the entire time we've been here, I haven't seen them anywhere around the royal family. And he holds a grudge against several other races, so something is up."

"Yeah, but that has nothing to do with us," Iris replied.

"It might. He got mad when I mentioned the Shadow Callers."

All eyes turned on Warren and he let out a sigh as he said, "Fine. I'll tell you. You all know the legend with the two hybrids, correct?"

"Yes, sir," they all replied.

"Well, in the legend it mentions that the hybrid and the entire group died sealing away the evil hybrid, who was known as the Shadow. Only two of the group survived and were left with the prophecy. They founded the school known as Hunter Academy to train students."

"Wait, I've never heard that," Sophia informed.

"Of course you haven't. My wife, Ella, and the queen, Fay, researched the legend. They were so entranced with it, they realized there was more to it. Their research was meant to be classified by the council itself because Ella and Fay explained that there could be a crucial part to the legend that could destroy our world. They continued with the research and found out that the hybrid would be reincarnated along with the rest of the group, including the two who had lived and died of old age. They found out that the seal to the Shadow's cage was weakening and they also found out the exact date it would weaken enough for it to be broken. As you know, when the good hybrid was created, it was made to be the leader of the best team that consisted of different magical races. It was created using the team's power."

"I heard that it was created because it was prophesied that our world would fall," Iris informed.

"Indeed it was. Well, there was a small group of rebels. They heard of the experiment and decided to create a team to rival that of the good team. The Shadow's team also did the same experiment but added something else so they could beat the light team. The good hybrid seen no way to beat the Shadow, so she cast the reincarnation spell on her and her team without telling them. She implanted the prophecy into two members while they slept and then went into battle with her team with only one plan; to seal away the Shadow with their lives. As you know, spells are a lot stronger, almost invincible, if you put your life into it. The hybrid knew this and was willing to risk everything and leave it to her future life."

"She sacrificed her friends?" Iris asked, utterly shocked and horrified.

"No, she saved them. They were the ones who thought of the plan, and she refused it. Finally, they convinced her it was the only way to take down the Shadow. The hybrid did the impossible and found a way to cast the reincarnation spell. As you know, it has always been an impossible spell that has never worked. Afterwards, she found their prophecy before anyone knew about it and split it up and implanted it into her two friends. Sadly, the Shadow foreseen her plan and cast the reincarnation spell on his team. He also implanted it in their memories to find the two who hold the prophecy and kill them. Without the prophecy, everything could be turned upside down."

"So he was prepared for it," Sophia muttered.

"Yes. Since the hybrid did this the night before the battle took place, she wasn't at full power, which put them at a disadvantage. Her brother gave his life to give her full power."

"Wait, how did he do that?" Iris asked.

"And how does she have a brother if she was created?" Zander asked.

"They weren't blood siblings. He lost his family and when he met her, they clicked. She claimed him as her brother. The love of a brother is powerful. He gave the hybrid the strength to subdue Shadow and give her team the time to cast the spell, with the exception of the two members."

"Wait, how'd she get them to stay out of it?" Iris asked.

"Her brother had also used his power to send them a message. He told them 'Tell the story of the great hybrid, our Guardian Deity.'"

"So, how does all of this add up to your hate of Shadow Callers and the races?" Sophia asked.

"Ella and Fay also found out who the reincarnation of the hybrid was along with the ones who hold the prophecy," he informed and their eyes widened.

"How?" Sophia asked as if the information was golden.

"As you know, the Fairy's water talent has subcategories like ice. Well, there is another water category, one that is very rare. A Diviner. Queen Ella was a Diviner. She used the water spirit's body to figure it out, but on one condition. She wasn't to trust anyone with the information except for Fay and those deemed worthy by the water spirit. They did find out who the reincarnations are, but they also found out that the Shadow's team was reincarnated as well. The Shadow Callers somehow found out that they knew and pursued them. Ella and Fay were killed by someone from the Demon clan, a vampire, a fairy, an elf, and a werewolf. Before they died, they gave us one hint. Well, not us in general. Nixie was there but hidden. My wife's last words were, 'So you came to figure out when you could unseal your master, the Shadow. Well, you won't be getting the information from us.' After she said those words, she erased her memories using a potion created by a witch with the help of the Demon King. Ella and Fay had both erased their memories, but before their memories were completely gone, the demon killed them to stop the process. As you know, Demon Prince, the spell stops working after death."

"Wait, what about the reincarnations. Who are they?" Sophia asked, a bit frantic.

"Don't know. The only ones who know are the Fairy royalty, the council, and the Headmaster of Hunter Academy."

"The Headmaster?" Sophia asked in deep thought. "Ahhh, he won't help!"

"You're right. Something confidential like that would be a no-go for a couple of Freshmen," Zander muttered. "Oh, by the way, how did you get Ra's Flames to go out? You're not a skilled Pyrokinetic."

"Now that you mention it... I guess it wasn't strong enough to stay lit under a spell from a wand?" she replied with a shrug, unsure. Sophia's head started spinning and her legs started to feel like jello.

"Even if it wasn't strong, it still would be unable to-" Zander was cut off by Sophia beginning to fall. "Sophia!" Iris shot forward and caught Sophia before she hit the ground.

"What happened?" Iris asked and Zander just stared at Sophia, pale. "Zander!"

"I feel no magic whatsoever coming off of Sophia."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, even if a witch or warlock is out of magic, they should still have a presence. Sophia's magical presence isn't here. There is none!" Panic crossed Iris's face as everyone looked down at Sophia's unconscious body.
