This chapter switches around from different POV's a lot so sorry if it gets confusing. It's going to lead up to big things in the future ;)

*Ashley's P.O.V.*

"Wait, are you seriously moving?" I asked Brooke as she set her laptop in on her desk.

"I'm here aren't I?" She asked walking away from the laptop making her appear even tinier on my phone.

"I still can't believe you broke your phone." I chuckled.

I saw her body tense as I said it. Brooke has some weird connection with her phone and her not having has been making her a little loopy.

"Yeah," she said calmly, "I don't get a new phone until just before Thanksgiving so I have a good month with a crappy flip phone." She said holding up a flip phone.

I laughed making her flick me off.

"So how are things going back at school?" She asked approaching her laptop again.

"It's been okay. Everyone is the same but I miss having you there. I still think you and Matt should be together. You guys would be really cute. Besides, Matt really likes you. I swear. He tells us all the time."

She rolled her eyes, "I told you I don't like him like that. We're just really good friends. That's all. And that's all it'll ever be."

"Whatever, Brooke. So how's your new school going?"

She blushed. "There's this really cute guy. He's my tour guide and ohhhhh my goshhhh. The best part is that he's in all of my classes.

"Aw Brooke's got a crush!"

She blushed, becoming even more red making me laugh.

"Brooke somone's here to see you!" Her mom yelled from downstairs.

"Ash, I gotta go. I'll call you later, okay?"

I nodded and pressed the end button.

*Nate's P.O.V.*

"Hi Brooke, long time so see," I said to my old friend with a smirk as she confusingly looked at me.

"Why the hell are you in my house? How did you find me actually?"

"I asked the teachers. We need to talk about our project for Mr. S."

"Um sorry, I don't go to school with you anymore. I guess you'll have to find a new partner." She said pushing the papers in my hand away from me.

"But you need to explain what's going on. You know, so I can work on the project with my new partner. Well have her do all of the work. She's really smart. Her name is Abby and I think she likes Shawn but don't tell Ashl-"

"Who's Abby? Everyone's always talking about her, what's she doing, replacing me?"

I shook my head. "No it's not like that. Let's just, can we go somewhere more private."

She rolled her eyes and pulled my hand down a hallway towards a staircase. Soon, we got to a room with boxes, a bed, and a desk.

"So this is your new room?" I asked sitting down next to her on her bed.

She nodded not looking up from the flip phone she was typing away on.
